Gen Z producer who studied abroad in the US, "changed his life" after a series of hits in Rap Viet

(Dan Tri) - Having studied abroad in the US, 2pillz decided to return to Vietnam to pursue his passion for music despite his family's objections. To date, he has become a successful producer with a series of hits and a stable income.

2pillz (born 1998, Hanoi) real name is Pham Phu Nguyen. He is a famous young rapper and producer in the underground community in Vietnam.

Taking on the role of music producer in "Rap Viet" season 3, 2pillz is better known for his catchy, colorful melodies and a series of "billion-view" hits. Previously, the male artist studied abroad in the US in computer technology but decided to switch to pursuing music.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, 2pillz said that at first, his family was quite worried, even opposed. However, he gradually gained his parents' trust thanks to his perseverance and achievements in music.

To date, 2pillz is proud to be able to support his family through his music career. The Gen Z artist is praised for his "cool hand" and ability to grasp world music trends combined with traditional cultural values ​​of the nation.

Recently, 2pillz released his debut studio album called Pillzcasso, marking his transition from the man behind a series of "billion-view" hits to a solo artist. The album includes 14 songs, combining artists such as Van Mai Huong, tlinh, MONO, Grey D, Orange, G Ducky...

In this new album, 2pillz also boldly experimented with many musical genres including bolero and Vietnamese folk music (dan da, zither T'rung...).

2pillz said: "The more I learn, the more I realize that Vietnam has so many musical heritages that I have to admire. Why can pieces of stone and bamboo create such cool sounds? I feel extremely surprised and proud of the creativity of the Vietnamese people."

The male artist performed special performances at Nui Chua National Park ( Khanh Hoa province), immersing himself in the majestic nature, creating a unique and lively musical experience while expressing the artist's free and creative spirit.
