Conference to disseminate the implementation of the Project "Reducing child marriage and consanguineous marriage in ethnic minority areas in the period 2021-2025" in Muong Lat.
Every year, the Department of Justice proactively advises the Provincial People's Committee to issue documents directing the implementation of legal dissemination tasks, and at the same time coordinates with departments, branches and sectors to develop plans for legal dissemination and grassroots mediation suitable for each locality and target group.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Department of Justice has coordinated with departments, branches, and localities to effectively implement the legal dissemination plan and projects on propaganda and legal dissemination for ethnic minority areas of the province, such as: "Promoting legal dissemination and propaganda, mobilizing ethnic minority and mountainous areas", "Reducing child marriage and consanguineous marriage among ethnic minorities in Thanh Hoa province", "Supporting gender equality activities in ethnic minority areas in the period of 2018-2025", "Propaganda for implementing cultural lifestyle in funerals in Mong ethnic areas of Thanh Hoa province in the period of 2021-2025". Provincial departments, branches, branches, and organizations have organized many legal knowledge competitions, with 197,308 participants.
In addition, the Department of Justice coordinated with the Party Committees and authorities of mountainous and border communes in the province to organize many propaganda sessions to bring legal knowledge to cadres, party members and people, in many forms such as: Disseminating legal knowledge through direct conferences, competitions, mock trials, legal aid, mediation at the grassroots level, issuing legal documents, propaganda on mass media, integrating legal propaganda with mass art performances. In the first 6 months of 2025, mountainous and border communes in the province organized 71 propaganda sessions, PBGDPL, with 11,914 participants; organized 2 legal knowledge competitions, with 550 participants; distributed 46,992 legal documents to cadres, party members and people.
Muong Chanh is a border commune adjacent to Vieng Xay district (Laos). The commune has a population of 3,894, with 4 ethnic groups including Thai, Muong, Kinh, and Kho Mu. With the characteristics of a border commune, Muong Chanh always faces many challenges in terms of security and order. Therefore, the work of propaganda and legal dissemination for ethnic minorities is always focused on by the Party Committee and the commune government. In recent years, the commune has effectively implemented the contents of Sub-project 1 under Project 10 on legal dissemination, legal aid and propaganda, mobilizing ethnic minorities according to Decision No. 1719/QD-TTg dated October 14, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the National Target Program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2030, phase I: from 2021 to 2025.
Chairman of Muong Chanh Commune People's Committee Ha Van Te said: "Implementing the content of legal dissemination, legal aid and propaganda, mobilizing ethnic minorities according to Decision No. 1719/QD-TTg, in the first 6 months of 2025, the commune organized 2 concentrated propaganda sessions, with the participation of 427 people, including Party cell secretaries, village chiefs, heads of mediation teams, and local people. The propaganda content focused on the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, the Law on Citizen Identification and regulations on forest protection, methods and tricks of criminal activities, especially cybercrime... The propaganda sessions were also integrated with cultural and sports activities, creating a joyful atmosphere and connecting the community. Through propaganda work, legal dissemination not only helps people grasp legal knowledge, but also strengthens solidarity, arouses self-awareness to protect national borders".
Through many appropriate and focused methods, the propaganda and dissemination of legal knowledge in the mountainous communes of the province have made an important contribution to raising the awareness of ethnic minorities in living and working according to the law. Thereby, promoting democracy and strengthening people's trust in the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
