Located in Ninh Xuan commune, Hoa Lu district ( Ninh Binh ), Hang Mua has recently become a familiar destination for both domestic and foreign tourists. The climbing journey begins with a small stone path behind the lotus pond; the higher you go, the clearer the scenery becomes.

From the top of Hang Mua, a miniature Trang An is right before your eyes.

The path to the top of Hang Mua is designed with zigzag stone steps, including 486 stone steps, divided into two main branches: a shorter right branch, leading to a point with an ideal height for sightseeing; a longer left branch takes visitors to the area with dragon and Buddha statues.

After about 30 - 45 minutes of climbing, visitors will reach the highest point of Hang Mua. This is the location where you can take in the entire landscape of the heritage area: Ngo Dong River, golden rice fields, large lotus ponds and limestone mountains typical of Ninh Binh.

On the top of the mountain, a stone dragon statue was built to simulate the image of a mascot in folk beliefs. Below the dragon statue is a Buddha statue, creating a sacred feeling in the quiet space of the mountains and forests.

The air at the top is often cool and fresh in the early morning or late afternoon, very suitable for resting, taking pictures, or simply watching the transformation of nature under the sunlight.

With moderate routes, majestic landscapes and interesting stops - Hang Mua deserves to be one of the trekking experiences to try when coming to Ninh Binh.

What to prepare before trekking Hang Mua?

To ensure a smooth and safe trekking journey at Hang Mua, visitors should note a few basic things before departure. First of all, you should choose light, easy-to-move clothing during the climb. A pair of sneakers with a firm grip is an indispensable item, because the rocky path can become slippery on foggy or lightly rainy days.

In addition, if you go during the day, you should bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and water to avoid getting tired when the sun is high. Some snacks, a camera or a fully charged phone will also help make the trip more complete.

Be well prepared to capture memorable moments on top of Ngoa Long.
