On August 26, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, the Ministry of Science and Technology coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a special issuance ceremony of the postage stamp set "Commemorating the 80th anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). The stamp set includes 1 stamp and 1 block.
Delegates performed the ceremony of signing the special release cover of the stamp set and stamping the souvenir.
The stamp depicts the image of President Ho Chi Minh , the founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, depicted in a modern graphic art style, both solemn and familiar.
Uncle Ho's face appears gentle, his eyes shining with faith and aspiration for national independence and freedom. Simple but delicate lines, combined with the dominant red and yellow colors of the National Flag, create a strong highlight, honoring the great leader, the immortal symbol of patriotism, self-reliance and aspiration for peace of the Vietnamese people.
The stamp set conveys a message of infinite gratitude for the great contributions of the great President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader of the Party and our nation, along with revolutionary predecessors and millions of heroes and martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
The stamp set is an affirmation that, after 80 years of construction and development, the lives of Vietnamese people are increasingly prosperous and happy, the country is constantly innovating and integrating deeply, continuing to step firmly into the new era -
era of sustainable development and prosperity.
The block model shows the National Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the map of the Fatherland with the sacred and complete sovereignty of the sea and islands of the national territory. The block background uses the image of a bronze drum, a symbol of a thousand years of civilization, reminding us of the historical roots and depth of national culture.
The stamp set was designed by artist Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post Corporation); supplied nationwide at provincial, city, central post offices, and transaction post offices from August 26, 2025 to June 30, 2027.
Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology and Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Social Affairs launched the postage stamp set "Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
On the same day, the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023 - 2025 organized the opening ceremony of the Press Center to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung attended and performed the opening ceremony of the Press Center.

The Anniversary Press Center is the place to organize, direct and guide press activities related to the Anniversary for nearly 1,550 reporters, editors and reporters from more than 200 domestic and foreign press agencies. This is the largest number of reporters, editors and technicians registered to work for the event ever.
This is also the place to provide information about the activities of the Anniversary; serve the work of reporters; and handle the requests of reporters for press activities.
