With the advantage of having forests and seas, most opinions agree that more focused and breakthrough solutions are needed to effectively exploit highly recognizable tourist destinations such as Mang Den Tourist Area, Ngoc Linh Mountain, Ly Son Island, My Khe Beach, Sa Huynh, etc., associated with preserving intact the unique and distinctive traditional cultural values of ethnic minority communities. To do this, Quang Ngai province needs to continue investing in improving the quality of tourism products, diversifying tourism types from eco-tourism, returning to the source to community tourism, agricultural tourism, medicinal tourism, etc.
State management agencies, travel businesses, associations, and experts in the tourism sector discussed, debated, and contributed ideas and practical solutions to contribute to the sustainable development of local tourism.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Y Ngoc emphasized that in order to create a breakthrough and elevate forest-sea tourism, the province will prioritize investment resources, build tourist destinations with regional characteristics; strengthen training, improve the quality of tourism staff from the province to the grassroots; focus on building and developing tourism services in a professional and friendly direction. The tourism industry needs to take full advantage of and promote the potential and strengths of forests and seas, change the mindset of doing tourism in a more flexible direction. Do a good job of tourism planning associated with strict management of tourism activities in the area; promote tourism communication and promotion activities; especially focus on administrative reform, expand incentive mechanisms and policies, create a transparent investment environment to attract more and more domestic and foreign enterprises to invest in the tourism sector.
At the conference, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the Quang Ngai tourism hotline to promptly listen to and receive feedback, suggestions and initiatives related to tourism activities in the province. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first 6 months of 2025, Quang Ngai province welcomed about 2.7 million tourists, of which the West of Quang Ngai attracted about 1.5 million visitors, and the East of Quang Ngai nearly 1.2 million visitors. Total tourism revenue is about 1,700 billion VND.
