In the beginning

Phuong Thanh Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company is an enterprise under the Ministry of Transport , formerly known as Transport Construction and Services Company. Established in November 1999 by the Vietnam Transport Trade Union, Phuong Thanh's development over the past 20 years can be divided into 3 stages:

When it was first established (in 1999), the Construction and Transport Services Company had only over 40 staff, workers and employees, few construction machinery and equipment, and weak management and technical skills of staff and workers.

Phuong Thanh contractor constructs the North-South expressway, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay section.

The construction works were mainly assigned by contractors and subcontractors. The revenue of the enterprise at that time was only a few tens of billions of VND, the monthly income of the workers was only over 1 million VND/month, life was extremely difficult. That was also the common situation of nearly 600 enterprises in the transport industry at that time.

Equitization, hard work and maturity

Implementing the policy of equitization of enterprises of the Party and the State, the Minister of Transport issued Decision No. 1666/QD-BGTVT dated June 3, 2004 on converting the Transport Construction and Services Company into the Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company.

Three years later (2007), the company divested all state capital and was free to compete equally with other businesses.

At the shareholders' meeting on June 18, 2011, Tranconsin increased its charter capital from 15 billion VND to 32 billion VND and changed its name to Phuong Thanh Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (Phuong Thanh Trancosin) with the aspiration: "Going anywhere will bring success" Phuong Thanh Tranconsin - The road to the future. To achieve that, the members of Phuong Thanh Tranconsin always live and work according to the principle: "Sincerity, honesty, responsibility and efficiency".

In 2014, marking 10 years of equitization, the company's revenue from about 100 billion VND (2004) reached over 1,000 billion VND.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of equitization (June 23, 2004 - June 23, 2014), Phuong Thanh Tranconsin was awarded the excellent emulation flag by the Ministry of Transport; the Vietnam Transport Trade Union awarded a Banner and Certificate of Merit; the Hanoi Business Bloc Party Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit for the exemplary clean and strong Party Committee of the company.

In 2015, Phuong Thanh Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company and General Director Pham Van Khoi were awarded the Third Class Labor Medalby the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Breakthrough in transport infrastructure construction

From a construction and installation enterprise, in order to create a breakthrough in the development journey and brand positioning for the enterprise, in 2014, the company's Board of Directors, headed by Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director Pham Van Khoi, made a bold decision to participate as an investor in the BOT Phap Van - Cau Gie project. This was followed by the BOT Ha Long - Van Don project and the BOT Bach Dang bridge.

Phuong Thanh Tranconsin is also the owner of three member companies: BOT Phap Van - Cau Gie Joint Stock Company; Thuan Phat Mining One Member Co., Ltd. and Poki Tan A Chau Education and Training Joint Stock Company.

With its reputation, capacity and experience, over the years, Phuong Thanh Tranconsin has been one of the transport enterprises selected by the Government, the Ministry of Transport and investors to participate in the construction of the most expressway projects today, typically the Tien Yen - Mong Cai expressway project, Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway, the North - South expressway in the east, sections: Mai Son - QL45, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay... have been put into operation.

Currently, Phuong Thanh Tranconsin brand is present in a series of other important national projects such as: North - South Expressway section Vung Ang - Bung, Van Phong - Nha Trang; Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway; Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway...
