The 10th Vietnam - Japan Festival will take place at East Sea Park, Da Nang City from July 4-6 with many exciting activities.
Hoi An will participate in the festival with many cultural exchange and tourism promotion activities such as: Booths introducing information about Hoi An culture and tourism, displaying images of Hoi An and Japan cooperation. Along with that are exchange programs and art performances.
Visitors will be able to participate in free experiential activities such as: Instructions on making Hoi An lanterns (July 4-5); Teaching Quang Nam folk songs (July 6); Enjoying free specialties of Hoi An green bean cake and Cu Lao Cham forest tea.
From July 1, Hoi An after the arrangement with 3 new wards Hoi An, Hoi An Dong, Hoi An Tay and Tan Hiep island commune has officially become part of the new Da Nang city.
In this merger, the new Da Nang city will have many special heritages, such as the World Cultural Heritages of Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary; Cu Lao Cham World Biosphere Reserve; Ma Nhai at Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot is a documentary heritage of the Asia-Pacific Memory of the World Program. Along with many national intangible cultural heritages, scenic spots, national-level relics, etc.
This rich heritage resource will be an important resource contributing to the development of Da Nang city to step strongly into a new era of development.
Participating in this festival is not only an opportunity to promote Hoi An culture and tourism, spreading the beauty of Hoi An to visitors; but also contributing to introducing Japanese imprints in Hoi An, promoting exchanges and strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Japan.

As one of the places where the relationship between Japan and Vietnam began more than 400 years ago, Hoi An is a land with many unique historical values, a place that demonstrates diverse cultural exchanges, especially during the period when Hoi An was an international trading port, Japanese merchants came and left cultural marks here.
Since 2003, the Hoi An-Japan cultural exchange event has been held annually in Hoi An and has become a "branded" festival in the hearts of Hoi An people as well as Japanese friends who love Vietnam.
