Alexander Isak, 25, a Swede, is valued at over £100 million after a brilliant season with Newcastle United, scoring 23 goals and providing 6 assists in 34 Premier League appearances. Speaking on TalkSPORT , former Tottenham and Newcastle player Jermaine Jenas said: "If I were Isak, I would only leave Newcastle if I got a call from Real Madrid, Barcelona or maybe Liverpool. Man City is not an ideal destination, Arsenal or Liverpool could be considered, but personally I don't see Arsenal as a big step up."

Although he is said to be on Liverpool's radar, the high transfer fee could deter Arne Slot's side. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta is said to have long admired Isak. However, it seems Arsenal are prioritising other targets such as Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres for their striker position.

Isak joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022 for a club record fee of £63m. His meteoric rise to prominence in the Premier League means the striker's future will remain a focus of discussion in the summer of 2025.
