At Hoa Lac airport , each helicopter was refueled. Then, 10 aircraft took turns to prepare.
SGGP Newspaper reporters were present at Hoa Lac airport to join the flight team.
The three airports designated as take-off and landing points are Hoa Lac, Gia Lam ( Hanoi ) and Kep (Bac Ninh).

According to the flight plan for mission A80, the flight formation was organized with 9 groups, a total of 30 aircraft of various types, including helicopters, CASA 295, CASA 212i, Yak-130, L-39NG and SU-30MK2.
The Su-30MK2 squadron flew in a formation of five aircraft over Ba Dinh Square. After splitting into three directions, the aircraft in the middle flew vertically into the sky.


Two Su-30MK2s piloted by pilots of Regiment 927 flew into Ba Dinh Square after the Yak-130 and L-39NG.
Participating in the A80 ceremony , Su-30MK2 fighters had many days of practice in formations of 2 aircraft and "arrows" of 5 aircraft at Kep airport ( Bac Ninh ).
Following the Yak-130 formation, a formation of four L-39NG training aircraft flew over Ba Dinh Square. This was the first time L-39NG aircraft participated in training in preparation for the grand ceremony.

This fleet of aircraft always attracts public attention during major events of the country, such as the International Defense Exhibition in November 2024 or the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30, 2025.
Previously, on July 30, 2025, Su-30MK2 also conducted its first survey flight over Ba Dinh Square in preparation for the grand ceremony.

A large number of people gathered at Hung Vuong Street and Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi from early morning to wait to watch the second general practice at 8:00 p.m. today.
