Launching the Project "Building, managing and developing the collective brand Thanh Long Nguyen Binh"

On August 27, Nguyen Binh Commune People's Committee coordinated with the Center for Research and Development of Agricultural Systems and the Department of Science and Technology to organize a conference to launch the project "Building, managing and developing the collective brand of Nguyen Binh Dragon Fruit"; evaluating the sensory quality of local dragon fruit products.

Dragon fruit trees were introduced into experimental planting by Nguyen Binh people in 2015. Up to now, the whole commune has a total area of ​​40.5 hectares with 1,288 households participating in planting, of which 30.4 hectares are being harvested.

The launch of the Project “Building, managing and developing the collective brand of Nguyen Binh Dragon Fruit” is the first step to shape a long-term strategy in building a brand, managing quality, promoting and consuming products. Nguyen Binh Commune affirms its determination to build a high-quality Dragon Fruit brand, contributing to the development of a sustainable agricultural economy and increasing people's income.

At the conference, delegates, dragon fruit growers and representatives of professional units directly evaluated the appearance, color, flavor, sweetness and overall quality of locally grown dragon fruit. The evaluation results showed that Nguyen Binh dragon fruit products have advantages in beautiful appearance, sweet flesh, and characteristic flavor, and are favored by consumers.
