Cultivating moral qualities "Confidence - Self-respect - Loyalty - Responsibility"
In order to attract a large number of women to participate in the movement, the Provincial Women's Union directed all levels of the union to specify the content of training moral qualities in conjunction with the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo . The movement to train the four qualities of "Confidence - Self-respect - Loyalty - Responsibility" was widely deployed, combined with the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively and build happy families", creating a driving force for comprehensive development for each member.
Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union Doan Thi Le An said: "100% of the Unions at all levels have implemented the four criteria of modern women: having knowledge, having morality, having health, being responsible for themselves, their families and society. Union members register to compete to implement the criteria and choose appropriate forms to train themselves, contributing to building civilized families and communities.
The Association at all levels implemented 758 forms of following Uncle Ho, established 802 models at the branches with 38,304 members participating. The Association's bases effectively maintained 2,043 cultural, artistic, physical education and sports models, encouraging members to improve their knowledge, cultivate morality and improve their health.
Ms. Ly Thi Lan, a member of the Vu Minh Women's Union in Nguyen Binh Commune, is one of the typical examples in studying and following Uncle Ho's example. She has implemented a livestock breeding model, contributing to the development of the family economy and successfully implementing the emulation movements of the Union. Her model has been widely replicated, becoming a shining example for other members to learn from.
Spread the movement "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's"
The Women's Union at all levels focuses on improving the quality of the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", contributing to the implementation of the movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" and the movement "The whole people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". The Union has adjusted the criteria and methods of monitoring and supporting members to suit the reality; at the same time, organized training and communication to raise awareness so that cadres and members clearly understand the purpose and meaning of the movement.
The Association at all levels implemented the movement in conjunction with criterion No. 17 of new rural construction and the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. Propaganda was conducted over 10,500 times for 415,145 listeners; mobilizing members and people to participate in activities of cleaning village roads, dredging canals, planting trees, taking care of flower roads, placing signs on self-managed roads and collecting recycled plastic waste to raise funds, with 7,467 times/323,263 participants. The Association at all levels registered to carry out 1,646 practical activities to build new rural areas, guiding and helping 2,702 households to meet the criteria of the movement.
The models of "Women's Association 5 no, 3 clean" (210 models) and the model of collecting and recycling waste (286 branches) have been maintained effectively, becoming typical examples spreading in the community, contributing to environmental protection, raising community awareness and actively contributing to the results of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
Elevating the movement in the new phase
The achievements of the women's movement do not stop at statistics, but also reflect the pioneering spirit and responsibility of the members of the Women's Union at all levels in studying, training and contributing. More and more members have become the core force, actively spreading moral values, building happy families, contributing to improving the quality of community life. Specific and practical actions have affirmed the strength and role of women in building new rural areas, protecting the environment and sustainable development.
A typical example is Ms. Hoang Thi Hao, Women's Union of Lung Pheo Hamlet, Can Yen Commune - a shining example in the "3 clean" movement. With a sense of responsibility, she and the Hamlet Front Committee persistently went from house to house to persuade people to move their livestock pens away from under the house floors. Ms. Hao shared: In the past, people used to raise cattle right under the floors, which was both unhygienic and affected their health. I and the women went to each household to explain, then directly helped clean up, dig foundations, and build pens. At first, many people were hesitant, but when they saw the clean environment and healthy children, everyone agreed to follow. Thanks to the perseverance of her and the members, up to now, the whole hamlet has relocated more than 60 pens, creating a clear change in people's awareness and actions in building a clean and safe living environment.
