Assessing the appeal of Red Rain , Box Office Vietnam said: “The film has become the Vietnamese work with the highest opening revenue (not shown during Tet). With nearly 1 million tickets sold and the film's occupancy rate reaching over 44%, Red Rain has proven its strong appeal. The time of the film's release also contributed to its success thanks to its resonance with the spirit of patriotism and national pride on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.”

'Red Rain' actor opens up about being secretly filmed

Along with the joy, the film crew also had to deal with the problem of secret filming when many important scenes were spread on social networks. Steven Nguyen - the film's actor shared that he was grateful to the audience who loved the film and was happy to receive positive feedback about this project. However, he added: "I know you love the film and want to spread it as much as possible. But the way some of you chose - to film the content and post it online - unintentionally hurt the work that we love."

According to Steven Nguyen, a work of art is the sweat and dedication of the entire crew. Secret filming and widespread sharing makes the project lose its integrity, and other audiences do not have the opportunity to experience the true emotions. He advised: “Let your love for art become beautiful, civilized support by watching the movie in theaters, telling your friends your true feelings, and spreading it with sincere sharing. Don't let a few minutes of secret filming ruin the journey of a whole group that has devoted themselves. If you truly love, let's protect this work together."

Red Rain was made based on the inspiration and fiction from the 81-day and night fighting event of the people and soldiers protecting Quang Tri Citadel in 1972. The film has the participation of Phuong Nam, Lam Thanh Nha, Hoang Long, Hua Vi Van, Than Thuy Ha... This project is produced by People's Army Cinema, Dang Thai Huyen takes on the role of director.
