"Red Rain" is a major film produced by the People's Army Cinema, with a script by writer Chu Lai. The film is inspired and fictionalized by the event of 81 days and nights of steadfast fighting by our army and people to defend Quang Tri Citadel in 1972 - a battle that has become a symbol of the aspiration for independence, freedom and national unification. That feat was not only recorded in history books but was also one of the important factors leading to the success of the Paris Conference and the great victory of Spring 1975.

"Red Rain" recounts the fierce days of war that could not extinguish the desire for peace, national reunification, love for homeland, love for comrades and family deeply in the hearts of young soldiers, and will surely resonate forever with today's and future generations. The film features many young actors such as Do Nhat Hoang, Nguyen Phuong Nam, Nguyen Dinh Khang, Ha Anh, Steven Nguyen, Le Hoang Long... along with experienced faces such as People's Artist Tran Luc, Dinh Thuy Ha, Than Thuy Ha, Hua Vi Van, Lam Vissay...

After its official premiere, “Red Rain” received many compliments from audiences and experts. Some viewers left comments after watching the film: "The acting of the young cast is very natural, especially the scenes showing team spirit. The film made me cry many times. The more I watch it, the more grateful I feel, the more responsible I feel for life today"; "Red Rain is not only a war film but also a lesson about courage and sacrifice. You should really watch and reflect"; "After watching the film, my heart still aches. The film is both tragic and touching, making me not only shed tears but also admire the sacrifice of the previous generation"...

Sharing with reporters, director Dang Thai Huyen said that the reception of young audiences for war films in recent times shows that they have not forgotten history at all. "On the contrary, they love and cherish stories that remind them of their ancestors' traditions. The important thing is that filmmakers and artists must approach the subject with a serious, dedicated and responsible mindset. Then, no matter what type of art, the work can still touch the hearts of viewers," said director Dang Thai Huyen.
