With its sky-high daily revenue, Red Rain is now far surpassing the revenue of another Vietnamese film that is also having early screenings, Getting Rich with Ghosts: The Diamond War . The work by director Trung Lun currently has a revenue of more than 2.7 billion VND on August 28.

With the impressive achievements mentioned above, Red Rain is currently ranked 11th in the list of Vietnamese films with the highest revenue of all time. Currently, the 4 films ranked above Red Rain are all released in 2025, respectively: Detective Kien: Headless Case (249 billion), Ancestral House (243 billion), Flip Side 8: Sunny Bracelet (232 billion) and Billion Dollar Kiss (212 billion).

With the current growth momentum, along with the heat, word-of-mouth effect on social networks and the upcoming September 2nd holiday, Red Rain is completely capable of surpassing the 300 billion VND revenue mark.

Recently, the representative of the Galaxy distributor also revealed that the film also has the participation of special actors - wounded soldiers on the battlefield in the past.

In a scene in the operating room of Doctor Le (Hua Vi Van), wounded soldiers are packed tightly together, groans are heard everywhere in the stuffy room, which is getting more and more cramped. On a hospital bed, a wounded soldier whose legs have been amputated lies quietly, the scene quickly passes by the brutality of war, quickly imprinting itself on the audience's mind, making them speechless.

It was thought that the Red Rain crew had used makeup or special effects, but the truth shocked the audience even more. The soldier lying on the hospital bed was a real wounded soldier from the Quang Tri battlefield years ago.

Many wounded soldiers with all kinds of injuries were present at the Red Rain film set to help the film crew shoot the realistic and heartbreaking footage. Returning to the old scene, once again, they devoted themselves to the country, contributing their own damaged bodies to the work to ignite the patriotism of future generations.

Director Dang Thai Huyen emotionally shared: “The veterans always arrived at the set very early, some on homemade three-wheeled vehicles. When filming Red Rain , the weather in Quang Tri was freezing cold, but they did not hesitate to lie still so we could put on makeup in very thin summer soldier uniforms, and then film for quite a while.

In such cold weather, old wounds must be aching. We truly admire the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, and our hearts are always filled with gratitude to those who are willing to join us in reviving a page of our nation's history."

Production director Kieu Thanh Thuy also shared the reason for inviting war veterans to participate in filming: “We kept in mind that we had to try our best to get the most authentic footage. Therefore, the film crew came up with the bold idea of inviting real war veterans to help with filming. And fortunately, they helped us very enthusiastically.

Not only did they participate in filming, but this was also an opportunity for the young cast of Red Rain to meet real people and events, helping them better understand the characters and ideals of the people who guarded the Citadel that year.

It is known that during the production process, the film crew received attention and close direction from the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense , the Chief of the General Department of Politics, the General Staff, and the coordination and support of agencies and units inside and outside the army and Quang Tri province.

Red Rain is now showing in theaters nationwide.
