According to statistics from the independent box office website Box Office Vietnam, Red Rain continuously "broke the box office" and reached a revenue of nearly 81 billion VND in the last 3 days of the weekend (from August 22 to 24). The film sold a total of 843,575 tickets with 12,575 screenings.

Combined with the early screening revenue from August 21, the film surpassed VND100 billion in revenue on the evening of August 24. As of 9 a.m. on August 25, the film has now earned more than VND106 billion.
This is an extremely impressive sales figure compared to Tunnels: Sun in the Dark . The work by director Bui Thac Chuyen had an opening revenue of over 45 billion VND in the first week and then reached 100 billion VND after 1 week of showing.
Thus, Red Rain became the 10th film to surpass the 100 billion VND revenue mark in 2025, after: The Four Guardians (322 billion VND), Detective Kien: Headless Case (249 billion VND), Ancestral House (243 billion VND), Flip Side 8: Sunbeams (232 billion VND), Billionaire Kiss (212 billion VND), Tunnel: Sun in the Dark (173 billion VND), Take Me Away (169 billion VND), Ghost in the Palace (150 billion VND), Ghost Lights (105 billion VND).

The resounding success of Red Rain has made the Vietnamese box office continue to have an exciting week. Demon Slayer: Infinite City maintained its position at number 2 with a revenue of more than 16 billion VND with 142,325 tickets sold and 3,611 screenings. Up to now, the film has achieved a revenue of nearly 122 billion VND.
The third place on the box office chart belongs to Crayon Shin-chan: Hot! Kasukabe Dancers with a revenue of nearly 3.7 billion VND. The film sold 34,821 tickets with 1,216 screenings. Currently, the film has not really been successful in terms of revenue, only reaching over 6.5 billion VND.
The remaining two positions in the top 5 belong to Mang me di bo and Gang of monsters 2 respectively.
Abandoning mother earned nearly 2.3 billion VND, reaching a total revenue of nearly 170 billion VND.
Meanwhile, Monster Gang 2 with early screenings has earned 1.5 billion VND.

This week, the Vietnamese box office will enter the peak period of the September 2nd holiday with a series of new movies hitting theaters.
