In his closing speech, Comrade Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council emphasized: "The success of the session is the result of very elaborate and careful preparation and the very smooth and close coordination between the Standing Committee and the Committees of the City People's Council with the City People's Committee, relevant departments, branches, agencies and units."

At the meeting, the HCMC People's Council reviewed, discussed and unanimously approved 35 important resolutions, meeting practical requirements after the merger of administrative units; creating a legal basis for direction, administration and driving force for socio-economic development; gradually perfecting the two-level local government model; caring for the lives of the people and the contingent of cadres, civil servants and public employees. The resolutions were all approved with a very high consensus rate, demonstrating the political determination and strong spirit of action of the entire system.
In order for the resolutions to quickly come into effect, the Chairman of the City People's Council requested the City People's Committee, departments, People's Committees of wards, communes, and special zones to urgently issue plans for implementation in the direction of "clear people, clear work, clear deadlines, clear resources, clear responsibilities, and clear products"; at the same time, urge, supervise, inspect, promptly detect and correct existing problems.
Comrade Vo Van Minh also requested to focus on handling "bottlenecks" to speed up the progress of key projects and works, especially compensation and site clearance; improve administrative discipline and order; promote administrative procedure reform, digitize processes; create an open and transparent investment and business environment, and support businesses to develop sustainably. At the same time, continue to proactively review and carefully prepare contents, propose new mechanisms and policies that are suitable for practice, meet the development requirements and aspirations of the people, cadres, civil servants and workers.

Regarding urgent issues to meet the city's development requirements, he suggested that departments, branches and the City People's Committee carefully prepare thematic contents for the next People's Council meeting. In addition, continue to review policies that still have opinions to ensure practicality and suitability, such as some beneficiaries of policies from Resolution 08, which can be further reviewed for suitability.
Regarding the housing support policy for cadres and civil servants, comrade Vo Van Minh said that it meets the actual needs, especially for cadres living far away, but there are also some inappropriate aspects. For example, for cadres in Cu Chi, the travel distance is sometimes farther than the Binh Duong area (before) and needs to be further reviewed.
Regarding issues that delegates are interested in and speak about at the meeting such as public investment, social housing, building public housing, etc., the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council requested that leaders of departments and branches with assigned responsibilities continue to advise the City People's Committee to direct implementation.
On behalf of the City People's Council, Comrade Vo Van Minh respectfully thanked the leadership of the City Party Committee; the close coordination of the City People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, agencies, units; the city's people and voters; and at the same time acknowledged the contributions and support for the Central region people affected by floods and storm No. 5 with the amount of nearly 80 million VND.
