At the meeting, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu informed about the situation of science and technology cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing that this is one of the important pillars in the comprehensive strategic partnership, in which artificial intelligence and the semiconductor industry are priority areas. The Ambassador said that the Vietnamese intellectual and business community in Japan has proactively established many associations and professional groups, thereby contributing to promoting bilateral science and technology cooperation.

To effectively implement Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo, the Embassy has proactively connected Vietnamese digital technology enterprises with Japanese partners, and applied the "3-house" coordination model (State - Scientists - Enterprises). This model initially helps Vietnamese enterprises better integrate into the Japanese market, promoting overseas intellectual resources. Notably,FPT Japan is coordinating with the Embassy to deploy a Digital Platform connecting the knowledge of Vietnamese and Japanese scientists, creating a common research channel to solve practical technological problems.
Along with business connection activities, the Embassy identifies science and technology and digital transformation as the focus of its foreign affairs, especially when Japan is promoting the application of technology to cope with population aging and labor shortage. Implementing this orientation, the Prime Minister of Vietnam has approved the policy of establishing the Digital Transformation Association, bringing together more than 30 members who are information technology enterprises of various scales. Vietnamese technology startups are demonstrating a spirit of strong solidarity and mutual support to gradually affirm their position in the international market. In this process, the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan plays an important role as a bridge, accompanying businesses in approaching and cooperating with Japanese partners.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong highly appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan in promoting science and technology cooperation, and emphasized the pioneering role of the diplomatic representative agency in supporting Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to integrate and develop in the Japanese market. The achieved results have created a foundation for sustainable science and technology cooperation, while contributing to promoting innovation and enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese digital technology enterprises in the international arena.

Deputy Minister affirmed that Japan is a key market in the strategy. Go Global of Vietnamese digital technology enterprises. Therefore, state agencies, especially the Science and Technology Office in Japan, need to continue to promote their leading role and accompany enterprises. In addition, the construction and implementation of a Digital Platform connecting scientists' knowledge is extremely necessary to take advantage of international resources, and place orders with experts and scientists to solve Vietnam's technological problems. Japan will be the pilot site, before replicating this model to other key markets in the world.
