At the Conference on Guidelines for developing plans and budget estimates for science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in 2026 organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in late July 2025, Director of the Department of Innovation (Ministry of Science and Technology) Nguyen Mai Duong shared that innovation activities include technology application and transfer; innovation based on technological innovation, technological creation, improving technological efficiency; creative startups; providing science and technology and innovation services; initiatives, technical improvements, knowledge creation and other related activities...
It is expected that by the end of September 2025, Dong Nai will organize the Science and Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Festival of Dong Nai province in 2025 with the theme "Creative runway, Dong Nai takes off".
Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Vo Hoang Khai said: The festival will carry out many practical activities to celebrate the National Innovation Day (October 1), National Digital Transformation Day (October 10), especially to welcome the Congress of Delegates of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030. Outstanding activities at the festival include: Science and Technology Exhibition; a series of seminars and conferences on the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW; seminars on science and technology, digital transformation, innovation; conferences to connect and call for investment capital for start-up projects, etc.
The main content of innovation activities includes activities to support enterprises in applying technology, transferring technology, and innovating technology; activities to improve technology efficiency and support the commercialization of new or improved products, goods, and business processes; activities to bring new technology into production (technology innovation); activities to support loan interest rates for loans at credit institutions; support for innovation activities, creative startups, innovation systems, startup ecosystems, promote innovation culture, creative startups, etc.
In Dong Nai, in the field of innovation, the province has implemented many activities to improve and enhance the local innovation index, develop and implement the plan "Supporting the innovation startup ecosystem in Dong Nai province in 2025"; deploying the development of innovative startups in the area... As of July 2025, the whole province has 88 innovative startups.
Chairman of the Southern Startup Advisory and Support Council (Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry - VCCI) Huynh Thanh Van emphasized: In recent times, the startup movement has been growing stronger and stronger in localities, including Dong Nai. The province has worked with the council to implement many practical activities on startup consulting, innovation, business skills training, startup knowledge, thereby promoting the development of local startup models... In the coming time, the province needs to have more policies to support innovative startups, thereby contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo on private economic development in the area.

At the same time, develop a value chain connecting the local key industries, focus on developing areas such as: logistics and supply chain, high-tech agriculture, form and develop incubators, centers for startups, innovation...
In addition, startups and innovation enterprises in Dong Nai need to proactively seize opportunities and focus on accessing information and policies on science and technology development and innovation; clearly identify key industries and fields to invest in developing internal capacity and business brands; as well as seek and take advantage of suitable strategic partnerships...
Head of the Vietnam Internet Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Do Quang Trung, said: Dong Nai is one of the localities with many potentials and outstanding advantages to develop internet resources and digital technology platforms. Therefore, the province needs to strengthen the management and development of digital resources in the area, including supporting people, businesses, and business households to have a reliable and safe online presence with digital services using the national domain name ".vn". Because the domain name ".vn" is currently not only a technical tool, but also a strategic internet resource that contributes to improving the digital capacity of the locality, promoting e-commerce, digital transformation and innovation. Thereby contributing to the sustainable development of Dong Nai in the coming time.
