In this ranking, Thanh Thuy, Khanh Dang, Bich Tuyen and Nhu Quynh ranked 14th, 27th, 85th and 86th respectively. Notably, Thanh Thuy achieved the highest ranking in Southeast Asia and second in Asia, just behind Chinese badminton player Wu Mengjie.

For the Japanese team, captain Mayu Ishikawa and opposite Yukiko Wada are the standout faces.
