On the morning of August 19, the inauguration and launch ceremony of the Saigon Marina International Financial Center (Saigon Marina IFC) took place. This tower is one of 80 key projects inaugurated and started construction to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, and at the same time marks the starting milestone for the construction of the International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

Saigon Marina IFC Tower is 55 floors above ground and 5 basements high, with a total floor area of over 106,000m2, of which about 87,000m2 is for Grade A offices. The remaining area is arranged for commercial centers, restaurants, meeting rooms and high-end amenities. The tower is developed and operated by Keppel Group (Singapore), creating a financial - commercial ecosystem in the city center.
This project is one of the three tallest towers in Vietnam, designed according to LEED Gold standards with energy-saving and environmentally friendly solutions, in which more than 30% of the area is planned for green space. The architectural highlight of the tower is the LED system on the entire facade capable of displaying vivid artistic lighting, combined with a modern water music square, helping Saigon Marina IFC become a "lighthouse" of the modern urban economy .

According to Resolution 222/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly , the establishment of an International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City is a long-term strategic orientation, aiming to turn the city into a destination for capital flows and regional financial activities.
Saigon Marina IFC is considered the first project to start this journey, providing standard infrastructure for global financial institutions, businesses and investors.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said that Saigon Marina IFC is the first step in the roadmap to build the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center - a new development driving force for the entire Vietnamese economy, contributing to the country's strong development and deep integration with international friends.
In its strategic vision, the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center will be a place to concentrate capital, technology and human resources from financial institutions, banks, and large investment funds according to the industry cluster model; provide financial and banking services, deploy Fintech sandbox, promote innovation; at the same time, form international commodity and derivatives exchanges, develop supply chain services, logistics and seaports.

Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Tien Dung shared that Saigon Marina IFC is not only a modern tower but also a historical milestone recognizing the efforts and aspirations of Ho Chi Minh City and the business community. According to him, the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center with the opening project of Saigon Marina IFC will be a place to connect global financial institutions, attract capital, talent, technology, contribute to improving national competitiveness and promoting sustainable growth.
The State Bank is committed to continuing to operate a stable monetary policy, consolidate the macro foundation, closely coordinate with ministries and branches to perfect the legal framework, and at the same time orient the banking system to promote innovation, apply digital technology, promote green finance, and meet development requirements in the integration era.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Vice Chairwoman of HDBank's Board of Directors, shared: "At this moment, the past and the present are holding hands and stepping into the future - from the Ba Son workers of the past to the engineers and experts of today - all connected to a common source: Will - belief in a prosperous Vietnam reaching out to the world."
She believes that the Saigon Marina IFC tower is not only a new architectural symbol of Ho Chi Minh City but also the "heart" of the city, keeping the economic pulse of Ho Chi Minh City strong, opening a new chapter for modern urban development and global integration. Ms. Thao emphasized that the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center will be a "meeting place" for banks, financial institutions, technology and logistics corporations with more than 10,000 experts working daily.
Mr. Kim Byoungho - Chairman of the Board of Directors of HDBank - shared more about the vision of HD Financial Group (HDFG) with HDBank as its core. And this Saigon Marina International Financial Center is the embodiment of that vision. "We will open up international capital flows into Vietnam, open new doors for global investors and help turn IFC into a bridge connecting our economy with the world," he said.
The inauguration of the International Finance Center in Ho Chi Minh City is part of a series of simultaneous inaugurations of 250 projects with a total capital of nearly 1.3 quadrillion VND across the country this morning. The event is to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
