This is the moment for every step, visitors not only to discover more magnificent landscapes, proud of the culture imbued with national identity, but also to be in harmony with the love of the homeland. With the message "Love Sa Pa", on this occasion, the locality has launched a special stimulus program to welcome visitors to the Northwest region to "touch" the beautiful natural scenery, "touch" the national identity and pride.
"Touch" the scenery, "touch" the identity
From mid-August to late September is the time when Sa Pa enters Autumn, the most beautiful season of the year. At this time, the "land in the mist" welcomes visitors with cool, dry weather, blooming wild flowers and magical white clouds. This is also the time when the terraced fields are in the season of ripe rice spreading across the mountains and forests of Sa Pa. Visitors coming here can feel the fresh, cool air and the bustling, colorful festivals of the Northwest.
At this time, on the cable car journey to the top of Fansipan, the scenery of the Northwest golden season is rarely so splendid, from the golden color of the terraced fields in Muong Hoa valley, to the overwhelming orange color of the sacred peak of the rice flower, like a painting painted by a talented artist. More than 80,000 gladiolus, primrose, roses, hydrangeas... are blooming brightly over an area of more than 2 hectares, along with a series of cultural and artistic activities, vibrant entertainment, full of highland colors, making Fansipan a beautiful rendezvous in the golden season of Sa Pa.
Coming to Sa Pa this season, visitors can immerse themselves in the cultural colors typical of the Northwest highlands and experience the unique culture of 7 highland ethnic groups at the "Ban May Golden Season" Festival at Sun World Fansipan Legend Tourist Area. In particular, the New Rice Festival is an opportunity for local artisans to express their gratitude to heaven and earth through sacred traditional rituals that gather a large number of ethnic minorities to celebrate the bountiful harvest. In the space of Ban May, visitors can witness unique rituals, watch art performances and traditional crafts that are hundreds of years old from ethnic artisans. At the same time, visitors can also immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of activities such as pounding rice cakes, making green rice flakes, blowing five-color sticky rice, pushing sticks, one-rope bridges, swings, etc.
In particular, celebrating the August Revolution and National Day September 2, witnessing the flag-raising ceremony at the top of Fansipan was an unforgettable impression for many people. Ms. Dinh Thi Van Anh (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) said that the feeling of standing at the foot of the tallest flagpole in Indochina, singing the Vietnamese national anthem amidst mountains and nature, watching the red flag fluttering on the flagpole was a proud and emotional moment for her and her whole family.
On this occasion, Sa Pa brings visitors the Autumn Festival with a series of vibrant cultural, sports and tourism activities imbued with the identity of the Northwest highlands. According to Mr. Pham Tien Dung, Vice Chairman of Sa Pa Ward People's Committee, the 2025 Sa Pa Autumn Festival is a special milestone because it is not only an occasion to review the tradition of patriotism, arouse the desire for development, but also marks an important transition when Sa Pa Ward officially operates according to the two-level local government model. This is also a greeting from a youthful, modern Sa Pa but still imbued with cultural identity, ready to enter a new stage of development, taking tourism as the driving force, culture as the foundation, with people and businesses at the center.
The 2025 Sa Pa Autumn Festival will last from August to October 4, 2025 with many special activities such as: Fashion show - Brocade dance (8:00 p.m. on August 30); Festival on Ham Rong National Monument (August 30 - September 2); Experience highland culture and Sa Pa Love Market (9:00 a.m. on August 31); Art program - Pride of Vietnam - 80 years of glorious country (8:00 p.m. on August 31); Full moon festival (October 4)...
Participating in the activities, visitors can visit and experience some traditional ethnic costume making processes such as: indigo dyeing and printing patterns on fabric; sewing and embroidering brocade; trying on traditional ethnic costumes of Sa Pa; participating in cultural and folk art performances, folk games; learning about the beauty of cuisine: the process of making sticky rice, pounding sticky rice cakes, bamboo rice... All promise to bring unique, interesting experiences, full of emotional "touches" for domestic and foreign tourists.
