South Central region starts construction and inaugurates series of national key projects

On the morning of August 19, along with many localities across the country, provinces in the South Central region simultaneously started construction and inaugurated a series of key national projects, which are expected to become new development drivers for the region.

* In Dak Lak province, the Provincial People's Committee organized the groundbreaking ceremony for 3 major projects including:

Hoa Tam Industrial Park - Phase 1 has a scale of nearly 492 hectares, with a total investment of more than 4,188 billion VND, invested by Hoa Tam Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company.

Bai Goc Port with an area of 156 hectares of land and 214 hectares of water, total capital of about 24,000 billion VND, invested by Bai Goc Phu Yen Port Joint Stock Company.

Phu Yen High-Tech Industrial Park has a scale of 251.6 hectares, investment capital of 2,369 billion VND, invested by N&G Group Joint Stock Company.

* In Khanh Hoa province, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with investors to simultaneously start construction of 4 key projects with a total investment of nearly 20,200 billion VND.

Projects include:

Training and research facility of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics in Nha Trang (UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang), capital of 300 billion VND, invested by Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics;

Doc Da Trang Industrial Park has a scale of 288 hectares, capital of 1,800 billion VND, invested by Viglacera Yen My Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company;

Social housing project in Thanh Hai Resettlement Area with 1,155 apartments, capital of 1,136 billion VND;

Nha Trang mixed-use urban area is nearly 227 hectares wide, with a capital of more than 17,000 billion VND, invested by Sao Bien Real Estate Company Limited.

* In Lam Dong, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism started construction of the Da Lat National Sports Training Center.

The project has an investment capital of 286 billion VND, with many modern items such as a covered swimming pool, golf practice area, and 2,000-seat gymnasium.

When put into operation, the project will serve the training of national athletes and national youth teams to improve athletes' performance; restore athletes' health and support local sports training.

* On the same day, the locality inaugurated the Phan Thiet airport access road project (phase 2) in Mui Ne ward, invested by Lam Dong Province Traffic Project Management Board, with a total capital of nearly 118 billion VND.

In Ham Kiem commune (Lam Dong province), the Ham Kiem II Industrial Park Workers Housing Project (scale of 5,552 units, capital of 5,000 billion VND) was launched.

Meanwhile, the Management Board of Construction Investment Project No. 2 (Lam Dong province) launched the Resettlement Area project to serve the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Lam Dong province with a total implementation cost of about 45 billion VND.
