According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism , after receiving the Politburo's policy and assigning tasks, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has presided over and coordinated with relevant agencies to draft a Resolution on Revitalizing and Developing Vietnamese Culture in the New Era.

The Draft Resolution was developed in the context that ministries and branches are showing high determination in carrying out the tasks assigned by the Party and the State; along with the climax of organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Therefore, the amount of work to be implemented is huge. However, with the highest sense of responsibility, the Drafting Committee and the Editorial Team quickly started to build the draft, collecting comments from the first meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Resolution Drafting Committee - Mr. Nguyen Van Hung stated that entering a new era, when determining that culture is still one of the pillars, playing the role of soft power, the regulatory system for national sustainable development, the Politburo continues to set out the requirement for an additional Resolution on culture.
Over the past time, the Drafting Committee and Editorial Team have studied the entire system of Party documents, based on the 1943 Outline on Vietnamese Culture and the Resolutions to ensure the updating factor in the process of drafting the Resolution.
According to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the review shows that many viewpoints and tasks must be inherited in the new Resolution. Along with that, any viewpoints and tasks that were stated in the previous Resolution but have not been implemented in the past must be studied, the causes must be found to propose appropriate solutions.
Minister Nguyen Van Hung requested the Drafting Committee and Editorial Team to study and absorb the opinions at the meeting, and emphasized that the Resolution must highlight the basic arguments. In particular, it is necessary to focus on breakthrough solutions for culture and cultural industry to truly develop sustainably. Along with that, it is necessary to promptly develop a report explaining the construction viewpoint.
Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Deputy Head of the Editorial Team to draft the Resolution of the Politburo on Revival and Development of Vietnamese Culture in the New Era said that immediately after the first meeting, units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism urgently reviewed, reported and evaluated and made proposals related to 3 topics according to the assigned plan including major, new and breakthrough issues to draft the Resolution.
At the same time, the Drafting Committee and Editorial Team have received comments from members; continued to complete the draft outline of the Project, develop the draft Resolution and draft Submission; develop explanations on the approach, identify bottlenecks, new and breakthrough issues to solve bottlenecks throughout the viewpoints, objectives, tasks and solutions of the draft.
The Draft Resolution on Revitalizing and Developing Vietnamese Culture in the New Era includes an introduction; guiding viewpoints; objectives; tasks, solutions and implementation organization. In addition, the draft Resolution sets out 6 specific target groups by 2030, quantifying a number of indicators and tasks to design appropriate solutions.
The eight groups of tasks and solutions clearly stated in the draft Resolution are: innovation in thinking; focusing on building Vietnamese people; making breakthroughs in building and perfecting institutions; innovating cultural management methods; making breakthroughs in promoting cultural creativity and enjoyment; making breakthroughs in cultural exports; mobilizing and effectively using resources; focusing on scientific and technological innovation and digital transformation.
