A large number of fans came to cheer for the Vietnamese Women's Team.

Coach Mai Duc Chung also highly appreciated the team's efforts in the tournament: "The loss to Australia was just an accident, because the opponent was too strong and had superior physique. But the fact that we made them confused in the second half was a good sign. In any match, the players played with more than 100% of their strength, I have nothing to complain about."

Regarding the preparation plan for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand in December, Coach Mai Duc Chung said that after the Southeast Asian tournament, the players will return to their clubs to compete in the National Championship. The coaching staff will monitor, evaluate their performance and select more personnel, including possibly adding some young faces from the U20 team after the domestic tournament ends.

For her part, captain Huynh Nhu, the best player of the match, affirmed that the victory over Thailand was the result of solidarity and reasonable tactical direction: “Today is August 19, before entering the field, the whole team was determined to win to respond to the love and support of the fans. This victory belongs to the collective, thanks to the solidarity, concentration and tactics of the coaching staff. I would like to dedicate today's goal to the fans - those who have always steadfastly accompanied the team."

Meanwhile, after the match, Thailand head coach Futoshi Ikeda congratulated the Vietnamese team. The visiting team's captain admitted that the Vietnamese team deserved the victory.

"Failures like this will be valuable lessons for young Thai players to improve, and at the same time affirm that the team will continue to adjust and prepare for the goal of conquering the 33rd SEA Games gold medal" - Coach Futoshi Ikeda said.
