The exhibition is one of the city's activities towards the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

At Nguyen Hue walking street, the organizers displayed more than 100 photos with the theme: "From the era of independence and national unification to the era of national rise". The photo series summarizes the developments of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in the history of our nation's struggle to build and defend the country.

Also during the historic autumn days, on the morning of August 25, 1945, more than 1 million people from Saigon-Cho Lon and neighboring provinces rushed into the inner city with a seething revolutionary spirit. The victory of the uprising in Saigon had a decisive significance for the uprising in the remaining provinces in the South.

Continuing the spirit of the August Revolution, together with the Party Central Committee and the Government, President Ho Chi Minh led our entire army and people to successfully carry out two great resistance wars against invaders, gain national independence, and lead the whole country to build socialism from the spring of 1975.

After the country's reunification, inheriting, applying and promoting the spirit of uprising of the August Revolution and the resistance wars to liberate the nation and defend the Fatherland, our entire Party, army and people have achieved outstanding achievements in all fields.

After nearly 40 years of innovation under the leadership of the Party, along with the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus, improving the efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency of the political system, our country has increasingly developed in the fields of economy, culture and society; continued to promote the implementation of key projects and works of the country; diplomatic activities, investment cooperation; maintained security and defense, contributing to maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world...

This is the foundation, condition and motivation for the country to fulfill its historical mission in the new era - the era of striving, developing prosperity, civilization, happiness and well-being of the Vietnamese people.

At the same time, on Dong Khoi Street (in front of the Department of Culture and Sports), the organizers also displayed an exhibition with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City confidently moves towards a new era" including 70 photos introducing Ho Chi Minh City including Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces entering a "new era", marked by major changes in scale, development orientation and strategic vision towards the goal of becoming a megacity, an important growth pole of the country and the region.

Opposite Chi Lang Park, with the theme “Colors of culture and tourism in Ho Chi Minh City”, the exhibition introduces artistic images depicting beautiful moments of nature, people, cultural and historical relics, architectural art, sea tourism… of the new Ho Chi Minh City, opening up opportunities for breakthrough development, creating a potential, friendly, hospitable tourist super city, leaving a good impression on international friends and visitors.

The exhibition runs until September 5.
