Inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of 250 projects to celebrate 80th National Day

On the morning of August 19, the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony of 250 projects and works across the country with a total investment of up to 1.28 million billion VND was solemnly held. The ceremony was held online from the central point (National Exhibition and Fair Center) to 79 points of 34 provinces and cities.

Attending the event at the main bridge point of the National Exhibition Fair Center in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi city were comrades: General Secretary To Lam; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh ; former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; former Standing member of the Secretariat Le Hong Anh; Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

Attending at the bridge points nationwide were: former President Nguyen Minh Triet; former President Truong Tan Sang; former Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh ; Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang; Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; Deputy Prime Ministers: Tran Hong Ha, Le Thanh Long, Ho Duc Phoc, Nguyen Chi Dung, Mai Van Chinh; leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and provinces and cities.

The program was directly directed by the Prime Minister and assigned to the Ministry of Construction to preside over; it was organized online, with 80 connecting points in 34 provinces and cities nationwide. This is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

These 250 projects and works have a total investment of 1.28 million billion VND, of which 89 projects and works have been inaugurated; 161 projects and works have started construction. The projects and works contribute over 18% of the country's GDP value in 2025 and over 20% in the following years.

Among the 250 projects, there are 8 important national projects, dozens of group A projects and hundreds of group B and C projects with large scale, ranging from national defense, transport infrastructure, civil-urban, industrial, agricultural, rural, educational, medical to cultural and sports projects. In particular, many typical projects have shortened the progress compared to the plan for many years, showing the determination and outstanding efforts of all levels, sectors, enterprises and construction forces.

By sector, there are 59 projects and works in transport infrastructure; 44 in civil and urban works; 57 in industrial works; 36 in technical infrastructure; 22 in social housing; 6 in agriculture and rural development; 3 in culture and sports; 12 in education; 1 in national defense and 10 in health. There are 8 important national projects, 46 in group A projects; 155 in group B projects and 41 in group C projects. Projects using state budget capital will create a strategic infrastructure framework to guide private investment.
