Inauguration of Ca Mau Province Sports Complex Project

On the morning of August 19, Ca Mau province and the whole country simultaneously held inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies for projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

In Bac Lieu ward, the inauguration ceremony of the Ca Mau Provincial Sports Complex took place. Attending the ceremony were Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Le Thanh Trieu; Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Bac Lieu Ward Party Committee To Viet Thu; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang.

The Ca Mau Province Sports Complex project in Bac Lieu ward is built on a land area of 42,905 m2, with a total investment of over 315 billion VND.

The project is equipped with a synchronous stadium, 8,000-seat grandstand, multi-purpose training house, petanque court, modern lighting and sound system...

After more than 3 years of implementation, the Ca Mau Provincial Sports Complex has been completed, becoming a project with beautiful, spacious and modern architecture, contributing to creating a highlight for the dynamic urban appearance.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang emphasized: Putting the Sports Complex into operation not only meets the training and competition needs of athletes, but also serves as a cultural and sports meeting place for the people in the province. This national standard project will contribute to promoting the mass sports movement to spread strongly, improve the health and spiritual life of the people; at the same time, create momentum for the socio-economic development of the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to do a good job of managing, maintaining and repairing facilities; developing plans for training and educating athletes; effectively exploiting the functions of the works; organizing provincial and national competitions, contributing to nurturing sports talents and developing the province's sports movement.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 08 collectives with outstanding achievements in the process of implementing the construction of the Ca Mau Provincial Sports Complex.

Immediately after the inauguration ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the sports festival to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The sports festival attracted nearly 800 athletes to compete in 6 sports: Soccer, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, pickleball and tennis.
