Military vehicles and artillery continue to march towards the center of Hanoi.

Early on the morning of August 20, convoys of tanks, military artillery and many other types of weapons continued to move to assembly points in the center of Hanoi to prepare for the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

On the evening of August 19, the Parade Subcommittee for the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day continued to organize the movement of military equipment from the National Military Training Center 4 (Phuc Son Commune, Hanoi) to assembly points in the center of the capital.

The convoy moved from Ho Chi Minh Road through National Highway 21A to Thang Long Avenue, then turned to the streets of Le Quang Dao - Le Duc Tho - Ho Tung Mau - Pham Van Dong - Hoang Minh Thao - Vo Chi Cong - Au Co - Nghi Tam - Cua Bac and ended at Nguyen Tri Phuong.

The artillery guns moving on the streets are of interest to many people. Among the artillery types owned by the Artillery Corps of the Vietnamese Army, there are many modern types such as: 122mm D-30 howitzer; 130mm M46 field artillery; 152mm D-20 howitzer; 152mm 2S3 self-propelled artillery; BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher; SCUD tactical ballistic missile system. Some of these types will be displayed at the parade on September 2.

The Scud missile is a legendary ballistic missile of the 20th century.

The convoy moved on Vo Chi Cong street then turned towards Au Co, Nghi Tam.

“Made in Vietnam” XTC-02 armored vehicle. This is a 2-axle wheeled armored vehicle researched and manufactured by the General Department of Defense Industry. The vehicle can carry 9 infantry soldiers, equipped with a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun and a 7.62mm heavy machine gun; the crew consists of 3 people (vehicle commander, driver and machine gunner).

The convoy moved in a single-file formation at a speed of about 25 km/h.

In addition to weapons and equipment, soldiers also moved to the center of the capital to prepare for rehearsals, preliminary and final rehearsals in the coming days.

Su-152 self-propelled gun, a weapon capable of destroying tanks. With explosive shells weighing 43-34kg, the Su-152's 152mm gun can create a terrible shockwave that can instantly destroy the crew of an armored combat vehicle.

The convoy arrived at the Ministry of Defense at midnight and dawn on August 20.

People poured out onto both sides of the sidewalks of Cua Bac and Nguyen Tri Phuong streets in large numbers to see with their own eyes Vietnam's military weapons.

The next two general training sessions are scheduled to take place on the evenings of August 21 and 24 at Ba Dinh Square. This year’s parade will feature more than 16,000 soldiers, including 43 walking units, 18 standing units, and 14 military and special forces vehicles from the Army and the Police. After 40 years since the National Day in 1985, the military vehicles, including armored vehicles, have returned to the formation.
