On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, this morning in Hanoi, General Secretary To Lam chaired a meeting with revolutionary veterans, former members of the Party Central Committee of all terms, former leaders of Party Committees and agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central socio- political organizations.
The meeting aimed to review the glorious revolutionary history of the Party and the nation; demonstrate the deep concern of the Party and State for revolutionary veterans, former members of the Party Central Committee, former leaders of Party agencies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front , and socio-political organizations at the central level; acknowledge and express gratitude for the great contributions of cadres to the cause of national liberation struggle, construction and protection of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
The General Secretary also listened to valuable contributions, responsibilities, enthusiasm, and wisdom crystallized from profound practical experience and strategic vision of former Party and State leaders and delegates - those who directly steered the country's revolutionary boat.
