At the press conference providing information on preparations for the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of works and projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan said that 2025 is the year of many important political events, including the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) is a particularly important political event, a brilliant milestone in the glorious history of building and defending the country of the nation, opening a new era - the era of national independence and socialism in Vietnam.
Looking back at history to become stronger, to add determination in the work of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, entering an era of national growth, prosperous development, civilization and happiness.
Following the positive results achieved by the inauguration ceremony, simultaneously starting construction of 80 works and projects in all three regions of the North - Central - South to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government and the Prime Minister have directed the Ministry of Construction and other ministries, branches, localities, corporations and general companies to complete the procedures to organize the inauguration ceremony, simultaneously starting construction of major works and projects across the country (live television combined with online to all works and projects). According to Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan, this is an important political event, contributing achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
This shows the maturity, growth, rise, self-reliance, self-strengthening, proactive development of socio-economic infrastructure (including traffic works, urban areas, industrial parks, services, education and training, healthcare, science and technology, innovation, etc.), vividly and truly reflecting the efforts of the entire political system, related subjects and the solidarity and consensus of the people competing to participate in implementing projects and works across the country; expressing the joy and happiness of the people, those who directly enjoy the results...; thereby, deepening national pride, love for the country, adding determination in the cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, creating momentum, creating force to enter a new era as General Secretary To Lam stated "The era of rising up of a rich, civilized, prosperous and prosperous country".
Regarding the list of projects eligible for commencement and inauguration, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan said that, implementing the Prime Minister's direction in Official Dispatch No. 57/CD-TTg dated May 5, 2025 and Official Dispatch No. 129/CD-TTg dated August 7, 2025 on preparations for the commencement and inauguration ceremonies of projects, by the end of August 13, 2025, the Ministry of Construction had received reports from 34 provinces and cities, 17 ministries, branches and 18 corporations and general companies.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Construction has reviewed and compiled 250 projects and works of ministries, branches, localities, corporations and general companies in 34 provinces/cities that are eligible for inauguration and commencement, of which 89 projects and works are eligible for inauguration; 161 projects and works are eligible for commencement; specifically in the following fields:
Transport infrastructure has 59 projects and works; Civil - urban works: 44 projects and works; Industrial works: 57 projects and works; Technical infrastructure: 36 projects and works; Social housing: 22 projects and works; Agriculture and rural development: 06 projects and works; Culture, Sports: 03 projects and works; Education: 12 projects and works; National defense: 01; Health: 10 projects and works
Among the 250 projects and works, there are: 08 national key projects, 46 group A projects; 155 group B projects and 41 group C projects.
Total investment: 1,280,000 billion VND; of which, State capital with 129 projects: 478,000 billion VND, accounting for 37% of total and 121 projects with other capital sources: 802,000 billion VND, accounting for 63% of total.
Of the total 250 projects and works eligible for inauguration and commencement, 80 online and live television stations will be selected, the remaining projects will be simultaneously inaugurated and commenced.

According to Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son, as of August 13, 2025, there are 250 projects and works in 34 provinces/cities that are eligible to start construction and inaugurate with a total investment of about 1,280 trillion VND, of which 89 projects and works have been inaugurated; 161 projects and works have started construction.
The inauguration and putting into operation of works and projects and the simultaneous commencement of large-scale works contribute to creating momentum and position for the country's socio-economic development, strengthening regional connectivity; contributing to growth of 8% or more in 2025 and double-digit growth in the following years; creating jobs and livelihoods for people and improving people's lives.
03 projects and works in the fields of culture and sports were started and inaugurated on this occasion, including:
1. Commencement of construction of the Da Lat National Sports Training Center - Area B3. Address: Southwest of Lam Dong Stadium - Lam Dong Provincial Sports and Cultural Area, Lang Biang Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong.
2. Inauguration of the renovation and upgrade project of Sports Hospital. Address: Do Xuan Hop Street, My Dinh 1, Tu Liem, Hanoi City.
3. Inauguration of the Center for Development of Traditional Stage Arts of Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema. Address: Cultural and Artistic Area, Phu Dien Ward, Hanoi City.
