The music nights are organized according to international standards, with a grand stage, modern sound and light, professional scripts, demonstrating the spirit of learning from the world's quintessence. There, Vietnamese artists are the center, the Vietnamese language resonates on the vibrant music, the stories and messages are imbued with soulfulness, affection, and evoke national pride.

Many programs also have a “healing” feel: simple, close, associated with natural beauty, local culture, and humanity; or recreate the military environment, discipline, and training, bringing authentic and humane experiences to the audience.

The national concert “Fatherland in the Heart” on August 10 at My Dinh Stadium alone attracted about 50,000 live spectators, joining in the sacred beat of the Fatherland before the grand celebration. Notably, the effect of the national concert did not stop at the time of its performance. After the “stage lights went out”, all social media platforms were flooded with emotional comments and shares from people watching live at the stadium or via TV and phone.

Many viewers were moved and exclaimed: “Watching it made me so emotional, tears welled up from the beginning to the end of the program. Oh! The Fatherland in my heart. How much I love and am proud of the Fatherland of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people”, “ Peace is so beautiful!”, “A choir of patriotic hearts. So emotional, Fatherland!”, “So proud of Vietnam!”... Some people even recorded images, recorded videos from the TV screen, or live video at My Dinh as if to preserve unforgettable moments.

Many short films about the national concert were widely spread on social networks.

According to the organizers, in just 2 days, on the social network Tik Tok, there were about 18,000 videos related to the concert “Fatherland in the Heart”, with more than 500 million views, a record number for a political art program. Each performance quickly “caused a fever” on social networks, attracting millions of views and a series of proud comments…

Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Le Quoc Minh shared that the concert “Fatherland in the Heart” is not only a simple art program but also a patriotic harmony, combining music, stage performance, complex art with the depth of history and inspiration of the times, community emotions. The program recreates heroic historical pages, honors the sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers and sends a message about national pride, the spirit of great solidarity, and the aspiration to rise of the Vietnamese people in the new era.

“From the V-shaped stage design symbolizing 'Vietnam - Victory', to sacred images such as the red flag with a yellow star fluttering, the army marching majestically and powerfully, or timeless slices recreating history... all are elaborately staged with the desire to evoke pride, connecting millions of Vietnamese hearts at home and abroad. We believe that music is the language of the soul, connecting generations, an effective way to tell the story of the country in a simple, sincere and profound way,” said Mr. Le Quoc Minh.

Not only creating a "fever" with the national concert, the concert of the "Brothers" has also left many strong impressions in the past, not inferior to the two concerts of the global music group Blackpink in 2024. As of August 2025, the concert "Brother overcomes thousands of obstacles" has had 6 shows, preparing to enter the 7th and 8th nights in September 2025. "Brother say hi" after 6 nights in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City has reached out internationally with 2 shows in the US.

Ms. Le Phuong Thao, President of YeaH1 - producer of the program "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai" shared that, similar to the way the Korean entertainment industry has attracted Vietnamese audiences in recent years, Vietnam is facing a great opportunity, where Vietnamese cultural products can reach and inspire global audiences, becoming an important economic driving force, creating "Cultural Recognition and Exchange", from which it is possible to "Export Culture", bringing a new source of economic growth.

“We are developing content products with three core values. Firstly, it is connecting audiences, creating large-scale cultural events, through the production of television programs, attracting tens of millions of viewers, connecting generations in the family and connecting Vietnamese audiences globally. In 1 year, we organized 10 large concerts, attracting more than 500,000 audiences and won many prestigious awards.

Second, it is to honor cultural values and develop community benefits. The program 'Haha Family' currently airing on Vietnam Television is also creating a nationwide fever, as the program has both spiritual values, honoring the beauty of nature, culture and Vietnamese people; and community values that contribute to promoting local tourism. After only one month of broadcasting, the number of tourists to Lao Cai - a locality appearing in the program, has increased dramatically. Third, it is to bring the Vietnamese cultural industry closer to the world... through investing, training and developing talented artists, building music groups following the K-Pop model and expanding international cooperation. We believe that the Vietnamese cultural industry is getting closer to the international level...", Ms. Le Phuong Thao expressed.

Previously, at the conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the Party and State always pay attention to the cultural field and culture has also affirmed its role and position, clearly shown in the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress. Therefore, those working in cultural work across the country must have a deeper understanding of the viewpoint of taking culture as the foundation and pillar of national development, as the viewpoint of the Party and State.

“Through culture and art, we must implement strategies and projects on developing the cultural industry and entertainment industry. The requirement in the coming period is to promote the initial results that have been achieved. Along with that, all levels of the entire culture, sports and tourism sector must make efforts and demonstrate a greater 'explosion' to develop the cultural industry and entertainment industry. This will not only meet the enjoyment needs of the people but also contribute to the economic development of the country, contribute to the budget; create new types of products in the cultural field", Minister Nguyen Van Hung expected.

Ms. Dinh Phuong Thao excitedly "joined" the concert "Brother overcomes thousands of thorns".

As a young person who loves music and Vietnamese culture, Ms. Dinh Phuong Thao (born in 1992, an audience member of “Anh trai vu ngan cong gai”) shared: “I used to wonder why so many people are willing to spend a lot of money to go to concerts. But when I directly immersed myself in that atmosphere, I understood: Going to a concert is not only to listen to music, but also to live in the values of traditional culture and art that are renewed, close and inspiring. Many young audiences wore ao dai and traditional costumes when attending, and one night of the show was even recorded as a record for “the event with the largest number of people wearing traditional Vietnamese costumes”. This shows that: Young people integrate strongly but do not lose their identity”.

During the music nights, Ms. Thao has a lot of affection for the performances about national culture. Because the “Vietnamese quality” is present in every lyric and image, creating a sense of familiarity and closeness. The harmonious combination of sound, light, and stage design helps the audience not only listen with their ears but also feel with their hearts and memories.

“When the melody of Cheo or Cai Luong is played; sung and harmonized by tens of thousands of enthusiastic audiences; I feel the national spirit in me rise to its highest level. Thinking back to my childhood, every time my parents played Cheo or Cai Luong, I got bored and stopped… But when traditional melodies are renewed, still preserving the national identity… thousands of young people, including me, enthusiastically welcome them. The young generation will not turn their backs on national art, but will spread it in their own way…”, Ms. Phuong Thao expressed.

If in the past, to enjoy an international show with tens of thousands of spectators, Vietnamese people had to fly abroad, now, right in Vietnam, Vietnamese crews have been able to produce spectacular, eye-catching music nights that reach international standards, thereby proving the creativity and strength of Vietnamese people.

These cultural “meeting places” not only bring new entertainment experiences, but also contribute to shaping a generation of young audiences who appreciate traditional values in the context of globalization. Behind the stage lights are the results of the policy of socializing culture, mobilizing resources from businesses and the community, turning entertainment events into cultural industrial products, contributing to the economy, promoting tourism and spreading the image of a modern, integrated Vietnam that is still imbued with its identity.

From innovation to global integration

Back in 1986, the Doi Moi process was a historic turning point. The Party determined that culture must go first, pave the way, contribute to orienting public opinion, fostering the spirit of bold economic and social reform, contributing to promoting the building of a rule-of-law state and a democratic, equitable and civilized society; building a culture imbued with national identity. At the same time, it must constantly absorb the quintessence of humanity, to renew itself in the flow of the times.

80 years of culture accompanying the country, preserving the national soul, keeping pace with the times.

Along with the transformation of the economy from a bureaucratic subsidy to a socialist-oriented market economy and the increasingly deep international integration process, cultural management has also changed to suit the new situation. Socialization of culture has contributed to solving difficulties for cultural activities, especially in calling for resources to restore relics, building a system of cultural and sports institutions that have been gradually synchronized over the years from the central to the grassroots levels.

Important Resolutions such as Resolution 5 of the Central Committee (VIII tenure), Resolution 23-NQ/TW, Resolution 33-NQ/TW have determined: Culture is the spiritual foundation of society, both the goal and the driving force for development. Literature and art are sophisticated fields, contributing to the building of comprehensive Vietnamese people. Especially building Vietnamese culture and people towards truth - goodness - beauty, imbued with national spirit, humanity, democracy and science.

The National Cultural Conference implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party held in 2021 (the first conference after 75 years since President Ho Chi Minh chaired the first National Cultural Conference in 1946) has created a spread and raised awareness of the position and role of culture in the country's development in the political system and among all classes of people: "Culture is the soul of the nation, expressing the identity of the nation. If culture exists, the nation exists..." Accordingly, our Party continues to emphasize the need to consider culture on par with economics, politics and society.

Over the past 80 years, the cultural sector has written a brilliant epic, where Vietnamese identity is converged, crystallized and shines. Culture has become a solid spiritual foundation, an endogenous strength, a driving force for sustainable development; culture, together with information, sports and tourism, always accompany the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. With the manifesto of action: "Culture is the foundation - Information is the conduit - Sports is the strength - Tourism is the connecting bridge".

Culture in both the broad and narrow sense has been developing strongly, overcoming all difficulties and challenges to achieve great achievements, contributing to the 80 great revolutionary autumns of the Vietnamese nation with a thousand years of civilization and heroism.
