The special art program Proud to be Vietnamese is hosted by the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture , Sports and Tourism, Hanoi People's Committee and Vietnam Television. This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

'Proud to be Vietnamese' attracts more than 30,000 viewers
The special art program opened with the song "Vietnam in my heart" performed by Duong Hoang Yen and Ha An Huy. On stage, the harmony of the singer duo combined with the dancers in ao dai and conical hats evoked pride in the audience. Below the stage, more than 30,000 spectators sang along to the song "Red blood, yellow skin, I am Vietnamese" as an affirmation that the nation has never faltered in the face of difficulties and challenges and has always preserved good values through many generations.
Chapter I, entitled Origin - Naming Vietnam , recounts the nation's journey of building and defending the country. In it, President Ho Chi Minh 's speech was replayed on stage: "Vietnam has the right to enjoy freedom and independence, and in fact has become a free and independent country. The entire Vietnamese people are determined to devote all their spirit and strength, their lives and property to maintaining that freedom and independence," which moved many viewers.
Singer Tung Duong made an impression when he wore an ao dai printed with a red flag with a yellow star and sang Tien Quan Ca in front of 30,000 spectators.

The audience at My Dinh Square also stood up and sang along with Tung Duong, creating a sacred and emotional moment. Through the performances, the organizers hope to spread national pride, especially to the younger generation.

The program arouses gratitude towards the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and generations of predecessors, compatriots and soldiers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland through performances such as He is Ho Chi Minh (singer Anh Tu), Praising the Fatherland - That soldier - Vietnam's posture (Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung - Pham Thu Ha - Le Anh Dung - Tien Hung), Pain in the midst of peace - Aspiration (singer Hoa Minzy)...
Hoa Minzy moved people when she performed "Pain in the Middle of Peace" by musician Nguyen Van Chung for the first time on stage. This is the soundtrack of "Red Rain", expected to be released in the near future.

Chapter 2, entitled One Vietnam - Million Hearts, contributes to describing the beauty of every part of the country, from natural landscapes to people and the identity of each region. Different in accent, uniform, customs... but the people all look towards one flag, one call: Fatherland.
The show opened with the song Homeland performed by Hoa Minzy. The 9X female singer's sweet voice combined with familiar images such as bamboo trees, dikes, kites... brought emotions to the audience.
Singer Mai Trang "burned" herself out on stage with the performance "The Flame of the Highlands" . The supporting performance of the actors in ethnic costumes made the performance more impressive.

Chapter 3 Proud to be Vietnamese is a proud declaration of today's generation. The performances are integrated as an affirmation of Vietnamese intelligence, bravery, creativity... together, with a belief in the wise leadership of the Party, together bringing the country to integration, development, and confidently entering a new era.

From Hello Vietnam (Lam Bao Ngoc - Lam Phuc), North, Central and South One House (Tieu Minh Phung - RamC) to Love for the Country (Tung Duong - Duong Hoang Yen), Discovery (Buc Tuong band), Big Hand Connection (collective of artists)... expressing national pride, gratitude and aspirations for the future, thereby creating a beautiful ending for Proud to be Vietnamese.
The special art program Proud to be Vietnamese ended with many different emotions. Not only was it an art performance, this event also contributed to spreading the image of the resilient Vietnamese people, evoking the spirit of solidarity and the aspiration to develop a rich and powerful country.
