VFF announces ticket sales for Vietnam women's team match against Thailand women's team

In order to serve the public to watch and cheer for the Vietnamese women's team, VFF recently announced the sale of tickets for the third place match and the final of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship. Specifically, there will be 2 price levels according to position including 100,000 VND/ticket and 200,000 VND/ticket. Tickets to watch the matches will be available for sale online from August 17.

Speaking at the press conference after the semi-final match, Head Coach of the Vietnam Women's Team Mai Duc Chung said: "After the semi-final match did not have a good result, we encouraged each other to try our best to win the Bronze medal. Thailand is an opponent that Vietnam understands well, so the whole team needs to play tightly and enter the game well to win."

The Vietnamese women's team and the Thai women's team are two leading forces in Southeast Asia, often facing each other in important matches. In the last 6 meetings, Vietnam dominated with 5 wins and 1 draw, without losing any match. The most recent meeting was the final match of the group stage on August 12, when the Vietnamese women's team won 1-0 against their opponents.

The upcoming Third Place and Final matches will also apply VAR technology. This is the first time VAR has been used in a Southeast Asian women's football tournament. Accordingly, the implementation of VAR aims to improve fairness, transparency and support referees in making more accurate decisions in key situations.

The introduction of VAR into the tournament is considered an important step forward, contributing to improving the professional quality and image of Southeast Asian women's football.
