Unexpected reward for the force that destroyed a case of nearly 300 kg of drugs

Previously, implementing Project QB525, at 9:00 a.m. on August 15, in Hai Van Ward, Da Nang City, the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command presided over and coordinated with the Central Region Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force under the Drug and Crime Prevention Department of the Border Guard and the Da Nang City Border Guard Command to successfully combat and destroy a transnational drug trafficking ring from Laos to Vietnam.

Accordingly, the crime-solving force deployed a team, ambushed and caught two subjects: NTL (residing in Hoa Xuan ward, Da Nang city) and D.BHC (residing in An Khe ward, Da Nang city) for the act of "illegally transporting drugs". The crime-solving forces controlled the drug transporters after only 3.5 seconds.

The seized exhibits included 295.5 kg of various drugs (including 50 heroin cakes, 80 ketamine packages and 180 methamphetamine packages), 2 cars and related exhibits and documents. Searching the residence of the subject NTL, the forces seized 2 more guns (1 AK gun, 1 homemade gun) and 7 bullets.

Currently, the Da Nang City Border Guard Command in coordination with the Quang Tri Province Border Guard Command is organizing investigation, verification, expanding and completing procedures according to the provisions of law.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet congratulated and praised the outstanding achievements of the Da Nang City Border Guard, Quang Tri Province Border Guard, the Central Region Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force and related forces for coordinating to investigate and successfully destroy the QB525 case, arresting 2 subjects and seizing nearly 300 kg of drugs. This achievement has special significance on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, contributing significantly to maintaining peace in society.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee also requested the border guards to continue to promote vigilance, increase patrols and control of border areas, effectively combat all types of crimes, contribute to reducing drug smuggling into Vietnam, maintain political security and social order and safety in border areas, and at the same time step up propaganda work so that each citizen becomes a "fortress" in the fight against drugs.

With the above outstanding achievements, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City decided to give a "hot" reward of 100 million VND to the groups and 100 million VND to the individuals participating in breaking the QB525 project.
