Land rich in Cham cultural heritage
Mr. Tran Duc Ha - Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Monuments Conservation Center said that the unit has completed the digitization of management records for ranked monuments in the area. In the coming time, the Center will continue to update data for monuments in the Southern Khanh Hoa area.
After the administrative boundary merger, Khanh Hoa now has many special national relics, 28 national relics and 241 provincial relics. Regarding intangible cultural heritage, the whole province owns 3 heritages recognized by UNESCO as representative intangible cultural heritages of humanity, along with 13 national intangible heritages.
Currently, the Center for Monument Conservation is preparing a master plan for the special national relic of Ponagar Tower to submit to the competent authority for approval. The merger between Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan has created a land rich in Cham cultural heritage, with a treasure trove of unique architecture, art and festivals.
Not only Cham heritage, Khanh Hoa is also considered a "living museum" with hundreds of cultural heritages, relics, and natural landscapes. The locality currently owns 4 heritages recognized by UNESCO, including: Nui Chua World Biosphere Reserve; Cham pottery art; Central Vietnam's Bai Choi art; Southern Vietnam's Don ca tai tu art.

Preservation goes hand in hand with promoting heritage values
To effectively exploit heritage values in tourism development, Khanh Hoa province is focusing on implementing many synchronous solutions. In particular, the work of preserving and restoring relics, especially Cham temples and towers, has received investment attention. Traditional festivals such as Kate have been restored and organized systematically, contributing to attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.
Activities to promote the image of heritage and scenic spots have also been enhanced through cultural and tourism events, media channels and digital platforms. At the same time, the province has built unique tourism products associated with heritage such as tours to explore Cham temples and towers, experience making pottery in Bau Truc village, learn about the art of Bai Choi, Don Ca Tai Tu, etc.
Thanks to synchronous and effective solutions, Khanh Hoa tourism industry has recorded positive numbers. It is estimated that in July 2025, accommodation establishments in the province served more than 2.3 million tourists, an increase of 4.7% over the same period in 2024.
Of which, international visitors are estimated at 441,000, up 2.8% over the same period; domestic visitors are estimated at 1.86 million, up 5.2% over the same period. Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 8,340.9 billion, up 6.1% over the same period. Total tourism revenue is high, making an important contribution to local socio-economic development.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, in the coming time, Khanh Hoa province will continue to promote solutions to preserve and promote heritage values associated with developing high-quality tourism, bringing Cham culture and unique cultural values of the province further on the international tourism map.
