Brigade 189 visits and gives gifts to sponsored fishermen's children on the occasion of the new school year

On August 17, a working delegation of the 189th Naval Brigade led by Lieutenant Colonel Ha Van Ty - Deputy Political Commissar of the Brigade visited and presented gifts to the children of fishermen sponsored by the brigade on the occasion of preparing to enter the new school year 2025 - 2026.

Implementing the program "Vietnam Navy sponsors fishermen's children", from 2023 to present, Brigade 189 has sponsored two children Vo Minh Luan (14 years old) and Vo Minh Khang (13 years old), two brothers (Tan Hai village, Cam Lam commune), whose father was a fisherman who died early while fishing at sea, and whose mother is a freelance worker.

The brigade presented gifts to support the new school year to two students.

The delegation visited the children’s health, family life and academic results last school year; at the same time, encouraged them to try to be good and study better in the coming school year. On this occasion, in addition to the monthly support of 1.2 million VND/child, the brigade presented each child with a handheld computer, books and some school supplies.

Help family and children prepare books and notebooks for the new school year.

This activity is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) of the brigade. Thereby, it contributes to supporting and encouraging families to overcome difficulties; encouraging children to prepare for the new school year to strive for high achievements; further strengthening the relationship between the army and the people, building a strong military base and a solid people's position at sea.
