Long Thanh airport terminal accelerates to finish by the end of 2025

At the entire construction site of Long Thanh International Airport, the construction atmosphere is bustling and urgent with hundreds of teams deployed simultaneously. Nearly 13,000 experts, engineers, workers and nearly 3,000 modern equipment are working day and night, creating a total strength to speed up the progress of the bidding packages.

With great determination, the units strive to basically complete the project by the end of 2025, put it into operation and commercial exploitation in the first half of 2026. This is not only a request of the Prime Minister, but also a commitment to the country's responsibility for a national key project of symbolic significance, of strategic significance in socio -economic development.

In mid-August, at the Long Thanh airport construction site, more than 13,000 engineers and workers worked tirelessly in 3 shifts, 4 teams at hundreds of construction sites. The working atmosphere was urgent and exciting, all aimed at the common goal: speeding up the progress, soon completing the national key project.

Hundreds of machines, equipment and a large workforce were mobilized and worked continuously in the spirit of the Prime Minister "3 shifts, 4 shifts", with the motto "working during the day is not enough, take advantage of working at night".

The officers, engineers, workers and laborers work in an urgent atmosphere, but ensure quality.

During the day, priority is given to the construction of the telescopic tube/at night, the construction of the road foundation, foundation, and drainage system is simultaneously accelerated.

Conditions to ensure labor safety and night lighting are always focused on.

At the construction site of Runway 2 of the Long Thanh International Airport Project, high-capacity concrete paving machines operate continuously. Each layer of material is leveled and compacted according to the correct process and technical standards, creating an urgent and precise construction pace.

According to Vietnam Airports Corporation, the entire underground reinforced concrete structure and floors 1, 2, 3, and 4 have been completed, creating a foundation for the implementation of the next items. The central area has reached 98% of the rough construction, the roof has been completed and waterproofed; the 3 wings of the terminal have reached over 93% of the rough construction, the entire steel frame and roof have been completed.

The curved dome covering nearly 20,000m² is exquisitely assembled through 256 connecting points according to European standards, the extended roof section (console) is up to 41m long.

The lower floors of the station are being constructed with important systems such as fire protection, air conditioning, lighting, elevators and escalators/Underground system construction work is being urgently deployed.

Speed but meticulous in the smallest details for the project. A national key project, Long Thanh airport is expected to create a big boost for economic development thanks to its outstanding scale and stature.
