In the context of cultural heritage conservation shifting strongly to digital data and artificial intelligence platforms, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center made its mark at the CIPA 2025 International Conference held in Seoul (Korea). This is an in-depth forum gathering nearly 1,000 experts, researchers and international organizations in the field of heritage conservation.

The event focused on the increasingly important role of data in preserving cultural heritage in the digital age. Many topics revolved around the application of digital technology to create and analyze heritage data, thereby opening up new conservation methods for artifacts, archaeological sites, historical architecture, museums and cultural landscapes.

Notably, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center directly presented the paper “3D scanning and HBIM (Heritage Building Information Model) to preserve Hue cultural heritage at Thai Hoa Palace”.

This is the result of cooperation between Hue Monuments Conservation Center, UALS Company (Vietnam) and PoSTMEDIA Company (Korea), within the framework of the 3D scanning project and testing the construction of HBIM model for Thai Hoa Palace in the period of 2023 - 2025.

Choosing Hue to introduce its experience at an international forum shows that Vietnam's heritage city is one of the pioneers in applying digital technology to conservation work.

The CIPA 2025 conference not only contributes to affirming the trend of data-based and artificial intelligence-based conservation, but also opens up opportunities for Hue heritage to access advanced methods, improve management efficiency and promote values in the context of digital transformation and international integration.
