Improving technological capacity for lecturers of preschool teacher training schools

GD&TĐ - Lecturers of universities that train preschool teachers are trained to improve their capacity to apply educational technology in teaching.

The Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 to organize a training workshop on "Improving the capacity to apply educational technology in teaching for lecturers at higher education institutions that train preschool teachers".

This is an activity to implement the Project "Training and fostering teachers and preschool education managers for the period 2018-2025".

In his opening speech, Dr. Tran Nam Tu - Deputy Director of the Department of Science , Technology and Information (Ministry of Education and Training) shared: We are living in a period of strong transformation in education, when artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation and new generation technologies are no longer future trends but are present in every teaching, management and research activity. Preschool education, the first foundation in the national education system, is also not outside the global digitalization flow.

For lecturers at preschool teacher training institutions, the task is not only to “apply technology”, but also to inspire digital and AI capabilities for the future generation of teachers.

However, currently, the application of educational technology in teaching is still a gap. The essential issue is to improve digital capacity, use digital platforms in teaching, scientific research in education for lecturers, update the capacity to apply educational technology, the latest skills for lecturers of higher education institutions that train preschool teachers nationwide.

Dr. Bui Kien Cuong - Vice Principal of Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 spoke at the conference.

According to Dr. Bui Kien Cuong - Vice Principal of Hanoi National University of Education 2, the workshop is an opportunity to update knowledge about modern educational technology, an opportunity for teachers, managers, and preschool teacher training institutions nationwide to share experiences, discuss, and find solutions to improve the quality of preschool teacher training in the context of strong digital transformation and artificial intelligence development today.

The program took place over 2 days, including 2 parts: workshop and training. In the first part, the speakers shared information about digital capacity, digital transformation and requirements for lecturers in general and lecturers at preschool teacher training institutions in particular.

Part two of the training is related to improving the capacity to use artificial intelligence in educational science research and teaching for lecturers at higher education institutions that train preschool teachers.

After the workshop, Hanoi National University of Education 2 was assigned to be the focal point for establishing a group of lecturers and researchers at higher education institutions training preschool teachers nationwide to share, update, and answer questions about new knowledge and skills on applying educational technology in teaching and scientific research.
