Many highlights in the 2024-2025 school year
In the 2024-2025 school year, the Ha Tinh Education sector continues to achieve many important results, bringing joy and pride to cadres, teachers, students, parents and people in the province. At the same time, it actively contributes to the colorful development picture of the local socio -economy.

The quality of mass and key education has changed dramatically, achieving breakthrough results. In the high school graduation exam, Ha Tinh's average score ranked 2nd out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide. In the national excellent student exam, the whole province had 84/98 students participating in the exam winning prizes, an increase of 8 prizes compared to last year; Ha Tinh ranked 3rd nationwide in terms of the percentage of students participating in the exam winning prizes and ranked 8th nationwide in terms of the number of first prizes.
Notably, Ha Tinh students also won a second prize at the Science and Technology Competition for high school students. In the international arena, Ha Tinh students continued to affirm their position when they won the Gold Medal at the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad, marking 4 consecutive years that the province has had students winning medals at international competitions.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Ha Tinh has 668 kindergartens and general schools, along with a diverse system of centers, vocational schools, colleges, intermediate schools, and skill and foreign language training facilities. The total number of students is 364,620, spread across all levels from kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, high school to continuing education and intermediate school. The entire sector has 24,516 cadres, teachers, and employees, meeting the requirements of teaching and management in the context of educational innovation.
Not only stopping at major exams, Ha Tinh students also participate in many other intellectual and useful playgrounds and all achieve high results. Many students become shining examples of will and determination to overcome difficult circumstances, demonstrating the spirit of studiousness, compassion and good deeds.
During the school year, the industry has strongly implemented digital transformation, the movement "Digital Education for All" has initially spread clearly. The work of encouraging learning and talent at all levels has been promoted, contributing significantly to rewarding, motivating and encouraging students with difficult circumstances to strive to study well.
The vocational education system is reviewed and arranged in an open, flexible and streamlined manner; focusing on developing key occupations and applying science and technology to improve the quality of human resource training to serve the province's key programs and projects as well as the needs of the labor market.
Determined to carry out the tasks of the new school year
Entering the 2025-2026 school year, in addition to advantages, the Ha Tinh Education sector still faces many difficulties and challenges such as: Lack of facilities and educational equipment, not meeting requirements; the teaching staff is not uniform, there is still a local surplus and shortage in some localities and units. Although the provincial economy and people's lives have improved, they are still difficult, posing challenges for the sector in consulting and mobilizing investment resources.

In particular, the operation of a two-level local government has forced the Department of Education and Training to change its management method for schools and educational institutions when the role of the district-level education and training department is no longer present. This is also the first school year of the term implementing the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, an important pivotal moment in implementing the socio-economic development plan, creating a solid foundation for new developments.
At the conference, many delegates shared many difficulties as well as proposed solutions to overcome them in the new school year such as: Teacher shortage; AI application in teaching and learning; teaching 2 sessions/day; operating 2-level government in the education sector...

In that situation, speaking at the Conference, Mr. Duong Tat Thang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Education sector to continue to advise on concretizing the policies of the Party and the State, and promulgate mechanisms for developing education in the locality. At the same time, continue to innovate school management and administration, tighten administrative discipline, improve the quality of work processing, promote administrative reform and digital transformation.
Along with that, schools need to build a friendly, positive, innovative and creative educational environment; strictly implement the motto "Real learning, real exams, real talents", encourage innovative models and effective methods; pay attention to global citizenship education, gradually introduce artificial intelligence into management and teaching, and take the lead in human resources to serve the development of the province. The discovery and nurturing of excellent and gifted students continues to be valued, while applying modern educational models for comprehensive development.
The sector also needs to increase socialization, mobilize all investment resources; promote the work of encouraging learning and talent, and build a learning society to meet the lifelong learning needs of the people. Preparations for the new school year must be carried out carefully, from recruiting, arranging, and assigning appropriate managers and teachers, to decentralizing the management of the team at the grassroots level, ensuring smooth coordination between the People's Committees of communes, wards and the Department of Education and Training.

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh received recommendations and proposals from schools, localities and the direction of the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, at the Conference, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training deployed a number of key contents of the 2024-2025 school year in the whole sector.

With the spirit of solidarity, creativity, daring to think, daring to do and daring to take responsibility, the Ha Tinh Education sector is expected to continue to reap many new successes, contributing to the implementation of Uncle Ho's teaching: "No matter how difficult it is, we must continue to compete to teach well and study well".
