Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed that the second innovation takes science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as the central driving force for development.
Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh presented the Report with the theme "Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation - The Central and Breakthrough Driving Force for Vietnam's Rapid, Sustainable and Self-Reliant Development".
Mr. Nguyen Phu Hung, Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Engineering, shared about the Development Orientation of Strategic Technologies in Session 1: Future of Science and Technology: From foundation to strategic technology.
Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Department of Startups and Technology Enterprises, emphasized the need to create a spirit of national innovative startups to elevate Vietnam at Session 2: "Innovation: Innovative startup nation and innovation system".
Mr. Nguyen Phu Tien, Acting Director of the National Digital Transformation Agency, shared about the future of digital transformation in Vietnam at Session 3: "Digital Transformation: Digital Infrastructure and Digital Society".
At session 4, delegates had in-depth discussions, focusing on future orientations for science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in a number of topics: Human resources for the future of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; New mechanisms and policies of the Law on Science, Technology and Digital Transformation, Law on Digital Transformation; International cooperation, integration and participation in the global value chain; Leading enterprises.
Delegates performed the activating ceremony of 5 initiatives, creating a breakthrough foundation for the development of science and technology in the digital age. This is one of the important activities of the Ministry at the Exhibition of National Achievements "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness".
With the participation of many policy makers, scholars, and domestic and international business communities, the Forum affirmed Vietnam's determination to make science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation the central driving force for rapid and sustainable development, meeting the aspiration to rise strongly in the new period.
