At the same time, his life partner from Thanh Hoa has always accompanied him through ups and downs, making him always feel "gratitude" towards his second homeland. He vows to devote all his efforts to contributing to the development of the province and to show gratitude to the land and people of Thanh Hoa, including the former youth volunteer force.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Du, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thanh Hoa Power Construction Joint Stock Company, presented financial support for building a house to former Youth Volunteer Nguyen Thi Phuc, Nguyet Vien ward.

Mr. Du always thinks: "The road to success is never available, only when we open it with intelligence, optimism, creative thinking, breakthrough and above all, dare to face challenges to overcome difficulties, then the door to success is a worthy reward". Therefore, after many years working at the Provincial People's Committee, in February 1992, he was appointed as Director of Thanh Hoa Power Construction Company. In a new field, the work was very difficult, he made efforts, struggled to find solutions, encouraged staff, employees and workers in the company to try to accompany him on the new journey. Mr. Du has steered the boat from the beginning when the company had nothing to overcome many difficulties and challenges, stick with the market economy , and develop step by step.

The company has boldly participated in bidding for electrical construction projects in many provinces and cities across the country. After winning the bid, the company always ensures quality construction, since then, its reputation has been increasingly enhanced, and its investment area has been increasingly expanded. In Thanh Hoa, he and the company's leadership team are also known for their important role, taking the lead in bringing electricity to the mountainous communes of Thanh Hoa since the years when the province's economy was still very difficult. In addition to developing and dominating the electrical construction market, Mr. Nguyen Duc Du is also interested in managing the business of rural low-voltage electricity, contributing to ensuring security and economic development in the province. With the above significant contributions and efforts, Mr. Nguyen Duc Du and Thanh Hoa Power Construction Joint Stock Company have been awarded the title "Hero of Labor in the Renewal Period" along with many other noble awards from the Party and the State.

Although he has become a successful businessman, a typical one with great contributions to the community and the general development of the province, deep inside him is still a warm love for his second homeland - where he started his business with nothing and has a loving family, with grown-up children. Over the years, Mr. Nguyen Duc Du and the directors of member companies, officers, employees, and workers of the company have always been diligent and proactive in participating in social security activities, especially in showing gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution, including former Youth Volunteers. This is both a common and family matter, because his wife's younger sister is also a Youth Volunteer martyr.

Right from the difficult years when the company was just starting production and business, Mr. Du has been attached to and accompanied the Thanh Hoa Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers since its establishment (2005). Every year, the company always gives hundreds of gifts to former youth volunteers on holidays and Tet with respect and deep gratitude. During those visits and gift-giving, Mr. Du decided to support the cost of building houses for poor, single female former youth volunteers (30 million VND/house); to support the poor former youth volunteers for life with 500,000 VND/month; to support the cost of buying household items...

Former single volunteer Pham Thi Ken, Hoang Hoa commune, who received a lifetime allowance of 500,000 VND/month, and former volunteer Nguyen Thi Phuc, Nguyet Vien ward, who received support to build a house, emotionally shared: "We are very grateful to the company and the association for helping us when we are old and weak, so that we are not lonely, and feel warmed by this caring and loving care." Or as former volunteer Nguyen Thi Binh, Ham Rong ward, confided: "I, like many other comrades, am very grateful for the care and encouragement of the company's leaders and employees. This priceless sentiment makes us feel that the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" will forever be passed on through this beautiful and loving work."

Those words of gratitude from the former Youth Volunteers deeply touched the hearts of the members of the group, including Mr. Nguyen Duc Du. Therefore, whenever the Provincial Youth Volunteers Association proposed to give gifts to members in difficult circumstances, Mr. Du and the company's leadership team nodded in gratitude and carried out the task as a command from the heart. Because charity and gratitude to those who have contributed to the cause have become a beautiful cultural feature of the corporation. Every year, the company allocates about 2 billion VND in profit to carry out charity activities, including giving hundreds of gifts, funding to build houses, giving household items, supporting lifelong care... for former Youth Volunteers in difficult circumstances; examining and treating eye diseases for former Youth Volunteers at Thanh An Eye Hospital; giving gifts to vulnerable groups such as disabled children, victims of Agent Orange, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, the poor...

Having gone through many difficulties in life, I realized how valuable and meaningful what Mr. Du and the company's leadership and employees do. He always brings inspiration to those around him in work and life. Mr. Du always believes that difficulties in life are very common things that everyone has to go through. But sincerity and a way of life that knows how to share are the most beautiful qualities of a person. And he is such a person. He has a heart for the community, a tolerant heart and above all, a warm heart that always yearns to do extremely beautiful and humane things.
