Due to the impact of the Day River flood rising above alert level 3 (measured at Phu Ly Hydrological Station), it has caused deep flooding outside the dike in Thanh Lam commune. The locality has implemented measures to ensure safety for households living outside the dike.
According to the report of the Commune People's Committee, 150 households living in the riverside area (outside the dike), low-lying areas have had their yards flooded; About 117 households with livestock barns and fish ponds were affected. In addition, about 15 hectares of aquaculture area of households along the river have been flooded, households have set up nets to protect the fish. By 9:00 a.m. on August 28, the locality had mobilized and evacuated people and property of a total of 188 households outside the dike, including: evacuating 9 households and supporting 179 households to relocate property; evacuating livestock of 86 flooded households to safe locations. Boats and passenger ferries on the river were anchored in safe places.
Currently, Thanh Lam Commune People's Committee continues to direct the police, military , shock forces, departments, branches and organizations to closely follow the assigned areas, regularly patrol and inspect to detect incidents for timely handling.
