At the reception, Mr. Paul Peng expressed his honor to come to Vietnam for the first time and receive a warm welcome from the leaders of Ninh Binh province. He affirmed that Vietnam in general and Ninh Binh province in particular are important destinations in the global expansion strategy of AUO Group - one of the world's leading enterprises in the production of display screens, while expanding into the fields of trade and retail. The Group's representative also emphasized the desire to learn more about the potential and advantages of the province to introduce to the Taiwanese business community, thereby opening up opportunities for long-term investment cooperation. On this occasion, Mr. Paul Peng respectfully invited the provincial leaders to visit and work in Taiwan to promote understanding and cooperation between the two sides.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc expressed his appreciation for the attention of AUO Group's leaders to the investment environment of Ninh Binh province. He affirmed that the province always attaches importance to and creates favorable conditions for strategic investors, including AUO Group. He also informed about the development orientation of the province after the merger of the three localities of Ninh Binh - Ha Nam - Nam Dinh . Ninh Binh province currently has three strategic development centers including: Phu Ly urban area focusing on high-tech industry, logistics and healthcare - education; Nam Dinh coastal urban area developing electronics industry, textiles, marine services and deep-water ports; Hoa Lu urban area associated with tourism development, heritage economy and urban connectivity. In that development triangle, Ninh Binh identifies industry as one of the key pillars.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the province has been implementing many preferential mechanisms and policies to attract investment, with special attention paid to training high-quality human resources. The Nam Cao University Project is oriented to become a center to attract large universities. Along with that, many strategic infrastructure projects are being promoted such as deep-water ports, airports, connecting traffic routes and Ninh Binh is one of the provinces with the North-South high-speed railway passing through the area. From now until the end of the year, the province will start construction on a traffic project connecting three key urban areas, creating new momentum for development.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed specific investment attraction policies, focusing on key issues such as taxes, essential infrastructure (electricity, water, telecommunications), training of high-quality human resources, policies to support workers, as well as orientations for the development of industrial parks.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc expressed his belief that with the attention of AUO Group and the commitments and accompanying policies from the province, the investment cooperation relationship between the two sides will be increasingly effective and sustainable.
