Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Culture and Cinema Center Ngo Hung Vi said: Dong Nai Province's Youth Melody Contest is a playground that children and young people in the province look forward to every summer. The playground creates opportunities for students to exchange, create, practice skills and demonstrate their talents. Thereby, helping them nurture their artistic souls, together preserve and promote the cultural values ​​of the nation, and improve the quality of comprehensive education .

With the theme: Colors of Childhood, the contest attracted more than 300 students from communes and wards in the province to participate with 81 singing, dancing and music performances. The contest was divided into 2 groups, group A (contestants from 5-10 years old) and group B (contestants from 11-15 years old).
