Magnificent A80 State-level preliminary ceremony

On the evening of August 27, at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi), the State-level preliminary rehearsal of the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (task A80) officially took place. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and directed the preliminary rehearsal.

Attending the preliminary review were Politburo members: Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important events of the country; General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security , and leaders of central departments, ministries, and branches, Hanoi City...

The flame was handed over to Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Duc Soat, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, who had an outstanding achievement, shooting down 6 enemy aircraft, becoming one of the heroic pilots of the Vietnam People's Army. After the flame was lit, the flag-raising ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere.

With strong steps, the groups: Border Guard officers; Vietnam Coast Guard officers; Logistics-Technical, Defense Industry officers; female Military Medical officers; students of military academies and schools; Electronic Warfare soldiers... took turns passing through the stage.

The formation of military vehicles and artillery: Armored tank block, including: T54B, T55, T62, T90, various types of armored vehicles; artillery block, towed artillery block, self-propelled artillery block, rocket artillery block, surface-to-surface missiles. Naval vehicle block: Surface-to-sea missiles and radars produced in Vietnam; anti-aircraft artillery block, anti-aircraft missiles, anti-aircraft missiles and UAVs; mobile military information vehicles; electronic warfare; special equipment blocks of the military branches... advanced past the stage, then spread out onto the streets.

Participating in the rehearsal at Ba Dinh Square were three foreign military blocs: Russia, Laos and Cambodia.

After passing through the stage at Ba Dinh Square, the parade groups split into many directions, passing through the central streets of Hanoi City, cheered and encouraged by hundreds of thousands of people on the streets. The parade formations of the Army and Police units passing through the stage ensured distance, speed, and strong movements, demonstrating the heroic spirit and strength of the people's armed forces.
