Established on the basis of merging 3 communes Phu Thinh, Ban Ngoai and Phu Cuong, Phu Thinh today carries the mission of inheriting the traditions of the countryside rich in identity, while affirming its position in the context of comprehensive innovation of the province. Looking back at the 2020-2025 term, despite facing many difficulties, the local Party Committee led and directed resolutely, the government actively operated, and with the consensus of the people, the implementation of the targets achieved many important results and were concretized by "speaking numbers".

The average product value per hectare of cultivated land reached 117 million VND/ha. Tea alone produced over 1,645 tons of fresh buds per year, contributing significantly to the total tea output of the whole region and affirming that this is still the main crop of the agricultural economy . The area of ​​newly planted and replaced tea reached an average of 5.63 hectares per year.

In addition, the decentralized afforestation movement has also spread, greening more than 41 hectares of land in the 2020-2025 period. The poverty rate has decreased steadily by 2.6% per year, to only 2.59% by 2025. The new rural construction movement has taken place vigorously with long concrete roads, spacious cultural houses, changing the appearance of the countryside...

Those achievements are an important foundation for Phu Thinh to enter a new development stage with confidence and great aspirations.

After the merger, Phu Thinh commune has 62 party cells with 932 party members, becoming a strong political collective. The first Party Congress of the commune, term 2025-2030, chose the motto of action "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development" as the "compass". In which, agriculture is still identified as the economic pillar, with tea trees being invested in systematically, and rice, vegetable and fruit tree areas being expanded.

Industry, handicrafts, trade and services also made breakthroughs: hundreds of production and business establishments operated effectively; many OCOP products were highly appreciated, including tea that achieved OCOP star at the provincial level. The rural market system was upgraded, transportation, telecommunications and e-commerce services were gradually formed, meeting the increasing needs of the people.

Based on the achievements, the 1st Party Congress of the commune, term 2025-2030, set the goal of turning Phu Thinh into an advanced new rural commune by 2030, with sustainable economic development and increasingly prosperous people's lives.

Specifically, the commune strives for an average growth rate of 11% per year in total product value; food output of 9,100 tons per year; fresh tea buds exceeding 9,000 tons per year; per capita income increasing 1.5 times compared to 2025. By the end of the term, there will be basically no poor households, 100% of the population will have health insurance, all schools will maintain national standards, and at least 20% of hamlets will meet model new rural standards...

To achieve the goal, the Party Committee of the commune identified 4 key tasks: Building a clean and strong Party, a streamlined and effective government; promoting the application of high technology in production, especially with tea - the main crop, associated with the development of eco-tourism, community tourism and tea culture; focusing on developing small-scale industry, trade - services, associated with digital transformation in production and life; improving the quality of culture and society, ensuring social security, sustainable poverty reduction, and caring for the lives of each person.

Despite the fluctuations in the socio-economic situation, natural disasters, epidemics, and the increasing demand for rural infrastructure and the quality of human resources, the locality is still facing great challenges. However, with the spirit of solidarity, democracy, discipline, creativity, development, and the strong aspiration of the entire people, Phu Thinh has gathered enough strength and position to make a breakthrough. The locality continues to affirm its role and position, becoming a bright spot in new rural development, trade - services, and high-tech agriculture.
