On August 25 and 26, the Party Committee of Cu Lao Gieng commune (An Giang province) held the first Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term. Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong attended and directed the congress.

Speaking at the congress, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong acknowledged, commended and congratulated the outstanding achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of the commune in the past term. At the same time, he requested the locality to have solutions to strengthen regional connectivity and complete transport infrastructure to promote faster socio -economic development.

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee to appoint 29 comrades to the Party Executive Committee and 11 comrades to the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee. Comrade Vo Minh Nang was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Cu Lao Gieng Commune for the 2025-2030 term.
