Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has revealed what life is like inside the club's 'outcast squad', which is made up of players who are no longer part of coach Enzo Maresca's plans.
The France international, who has just returned to the London club after spending half a season on loan at Aston Villa, is one of a number of first-team players forced to train separately while their futures await a decision.
In an Instagram post, Disasi shared a rare photo of the 'outcast squad' dressing room. The photo shows a small, bare room with wooden benches, a far cry from the luxury usually found at a top club.

The wall is adorned with nameplates for Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka and Disasi himself. Notably, the photo also captures the moment youngster Alfie Gilchrist sat in the corner looking dejected. Gilchrist, who came through the Chelsea academy, spent last season on loan at Sheffield United.
According to the Daily Mail , Chelsea are looking to sell or loan out a host of other players before the summer transfer window closes, including the likes of Raheem Sterling, Christopher Nkunku, and Nicolas Jackson. The Blues hope to raise around £300m from player sales.
Chelsea are having a favorable start to the 2025-2026 Premier League season with 4 points after the first 2 rounds.
