In the Vinh Long Provincial Military, when mentioning the typical young, enthusiastic and constantly striving cadres and party members, Lieutenant Nguyen Mai Trinh, an employee of the Military Department, General Staff Department, Provincial Military Command, is always trusted and loved by his comrades. Not only completing his professional tasks excellently, comrade Trinh is also a typical example in physical training, participating in sports and competitions, especially in unarmed combat with many outstanding achievements.

As an employee of the Military Department, Lieutenant Nguyen Mai Trinh is responsible for many tasks in compiling statistics on the reserve mobilization force records of the whole province. The job requires accuracy, discipline and synchronous coordination between agencies, units and localities. To complete the task well, Trinh always has a firm grasp of the profession, proactively advises many effective solutions, contributing to improving the quality of military work in the province. Despite the great pressure of work, especially during reserve mobilization force training sessions or defense zone drills, she still maintains a calm, careful and responsible demeanor.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Dien, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vinh Long Provincial Military Command, commented: “Lieutenant Nguyen Mai Trinh is an exemplary young officer, always dedicated and highly responsible in his work. In military staff work - a field with high requirements, he is always proactive in coordinating, maintaining unity, and always completing his tasks well.”

Not only good at her profession, Lieutenant Nguyen Mai Trinh is also an exemplary party member, always maintaining pure moral qualities, strong political will, and ready to take on difficult tasks.

Colonel Le Quang Vu, Deputy Political Commissar of the Vinh Long Provincial Military Command, said: “Comrade Trinh is a young party member with a high sense of responsibility, positive thinking and scientific style. In emulation movements, sports, mass mobilization work or regular tasks, he always shows exemplary and proactive behavior, creating trust among officers and soldiers of the entire unit.”

In addition to her professional duties, Lieutenant Nguyen Mai Trinh is also a key member of the unit's sports team, especially in unarmed combat. This is a sport that requires physical strength, perseverance and precise techniques, so she has constantly practiced hard and accumulated experience through each training session to achieve high results.

In recent sports competitions, Lieutenant Nguyen Mai Trinh has achieved many impressive results: Gold medal in unarmed combat, weight class 57 - 60kg, all-army level in 2023; Gold medal in unarmed combat, weight class 57 - 60kg, all-army level in 2024; Bronze medal in unarmed combat, weight class 57 - 60kg, all-army level in 2025.

Sharing about his teammate, Lieutenant Doan Truong An, assistant to the Military Department, General Staff Department, Provincial Military Command Vinh Long confided: “Although Ms. Trinh is not tall, she has admirable endurance and spirit. During practice, Ms. Trinh is always the first to arrive and the last to leave, not afraid to repeat a martial art move dozens of times. She encourages us little by little, and is always ready to give enthusiastic instructions. She is the “big sister” who inspires the brothers in the team.”

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Diem, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of the Provincial Military Command, commented: "Comrade Trinh is one of the typical female soldiers who is "good at national affairs and good at housework". In the women's movement, she is always enthusiastic, responsible, and exemplary. This is a shining example for the sisters in the unit to learn from and follow."

Born and raised in a land rich in revolutionary tradition in An Dien hamlet, Ngai Tu commune, Vinh Long province (formerly An Dien hamlet, Binh Ninh commune, Tam Binh district), Lieutenant Nguyen Mai Trinh is always aware of the role and responsibility of young people towards the Fatherland. Today's achievements are the result of a process of perseverance, quiet dedication, overcoming circumstances, overcoming oneself.

Lieutenant Nguyen Mai Trinh shared: “As a young party member in the military environment, I always keep in mind that I have to practice more and learn more to be worthy of the organization's trust. I do not choose easy tasks, but choose necessary and difficult tasks to mature. In daily life, I always live simply, sociable, actively participate in gratitude activities, social security, and help teammates in difficulty…”.

Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh, the Vinh Long Provincial Military has produced more and more exemplary officers and soldiers who live with ideals and are full of aspirations to contribute. Lieutenant Nguyen Mai Trinh is one of those typical examples - a brave and responsible female soldier in work, competition and even in daily life.

For Lieutenant Nguyen Mai Trinh, the awards are not to honor the individual, but to motivate him to continue training and striving. Comrade Trinh's spirit of living and working is a flame spreading among the officers and soldiers, contributing to building the Vinh Long Provincial Armed Forces to be increasingly disciplined, elite, and comprehensively strong.
